Well it gives you a choice whether or not you want to buy the product retail. Whether you spent 1 bid or 100 bids it just subtracts that amount from the retail price. If you dont buy it retail then yea you would pretty much just be out $150 with nothing to show.
Even if they did, they'd turn no profit. They make money by buying products at wholesale and selling them at retail. You're asking them to take on your headphones at retail so that they can sell them at retail, turning no profit in the process. You're asking them to sell your headphones for you and not get paid for doing so. And selling your headphones would replace a sale where they would make a profit. That's why retailers don't accept returns from other stores, because they can't turn profit on the product. It's not like it doesn't affect the retailer.
You won't find a retailer to take those off your hands. The days of returning electronics without a receipt or record of purchase are long gone my friend. Better hop on CL or Ebay.
Don't be so harsh on the OP. He seems to lack an understanding of economics since he admitted using a site that lets you bid on products only after you purchase bid "pennies" for .60. How is it a penny auction if you have to pay 15 bucks for 25 pennies?
I dont think I should tell you that I almost have my MBA from UH. I don't know I was just so angry and upset I wasnt thinking
Take the hit. Keep the headphones and chalk it up as a life lesson. Hang them in your office as a reminder. At least you didn't blow $2,000 in Vegas right?
Per wes's advice, you may have a chance with an exchange. Last summer BestBuy accepted an exchange from me without receipt for a game I did not buy at their store. But I did tell them I didn't buy it there, and was looking to exchange only (no cash or store credit). They did plug serial numbers etc into their computers to see if it was something they stocked. Had I lied about buying it there I suspect their serial number check would have shown that. This was in Portland. Given the 'integrity' of the site you purchased from, there's a chance these are refurb or otherwise deficient in which case they'll find out and you'll be out of luck.
Man, that is a great racket if you can get in on it. SacTown, where are you? You should be ALL OVER this.
Just keep your headphones dude..... I dont know why you would want more trouble trying to sell them or return them....... Everytime you go to walmart or any store and they dont take emm you are spending gas and time. Just be contempt with your Beats and let it go. Next time you are in the market for something over $200 then shop around stores in Houston..... Its better to pay a little more to actually get the item from a known retailer that will back it up and take it back if anything happens then to order online....
Quibids is legit. Their business model is scammy but they make money. Too much money to risk scamming people by selling counterfeit products. That's just being too greedy. But to the OP, you were willing to pay 150 + however much you had to pay for the item, but are not willing to pay 190 for the headphones that you'd rather try to scam a store into returning them? WTH
Well the stuff its good and real I got a memory card from them that I won with like 1 bid. 5 dollar shipping. Its like you get to a point where you have to keep bidding cuz if you don't ur going to pay retail, and if you dont pay retail then you lose out on all ur bids, you might as well keep bidding and see if you can win it still less than retail. I was past that point very early.
I can see why you lost bundle at Vegas. You weren't really gambling at that point -- simply playing until you won your money back
Just keep it. It might just be the best headphones you'll ever have. Change your life and everything.
By chance, are you related to the poster known as GlenRice? Or Luckkky? We should start calling you guys the three bbs stooges.
