I was on the CnnSI Rockets message board
and this guy said its a rumor that the Rockets are trying to trade Drew,Walt and the exception for Mike Miller. Is that true or just a made up rumor? Starting 5:

    Cato
    Taylor
    Miller
    Anderson
    Franchise
    Super Sub= Mobley

Rumor. Mike Miller has already signed with the Magic, so he can't be traded until December 15 at the earliest. And Drew and Walt alone make 5.25M approximately. Add to that the exception, and you'd have to be getting an 8-9 mil player for that package. Miller makes about 2.

    The Cat is 100% right.

    bobrek - nice info.

Anybody notice that the Bulls have not signed even ONE of their 1st rounders? (Dalibor Bagaric, Jamal Crawford, OR Marcus Fizer). What's up with that?
Fizer makes a lot of Rockets fans drool (me Xcluded). The price will be too high. I'd rather have the cap room even if Webber doesn't visit CD's office.

And the Celts still have Moiso hangin'! Hmmmmm...

    Gater,

Don't worry about the Rockets and Fizer. I can see where they would have been interested, but not now obviously with the Taylor acquisition.

Instead of Miller, why not go after one of the Clipper's small forwards. How would you like Magette? Eh, Eh?

Starting at shortstop, for the Houston Astros, Nomar Garciaparra.

Mo Pete and Magette are both two guards more than small forwards. They are Shandon Anderson types more than anything. We need a guy with more size than that.

I wouldn't mind getting Jamal Crawford either. Our team would be loaded if we got him. We could do like Phoenix did a couple of years ago when the played with 4guards
at different parts of the game. They used the 4guard system when they wanted to go on
one of those 12-0 runs and it worked almost everytime.

For me battier has to increase his offensive options. Unless we get someone like Webber (for instance so don't jump on me) I think we should go for talents not needs. So therefore my man will be either Troy Murphy or Terrence Morris as it stands out. If a big strong man such as Curry or Woods, Haywood or even Chandler are available then I would rather adress our need for size and used cap space to get all-around SF. Is Antawn free-agent? I thought he was going to be free-agent in 2002.

Until they tried it in the playoffs.
