It is a shame that yesterday was the first time I watched a ROX game, given that Yao and I came from the same city and myself being a BBall fan for more than a decade. But man, was I impressed by him! I think his Bball skill and instinct are amazing good - passing, jump shot, hook shot, FT, rebound, defense, team player. He still has some 'weakness' that might take a season or 2 to mature. He is still a little weak - i saw a few instances that he was just pushed around and can't get to the position, also a few times he was pushed away from getting the rebound. So I guess he needs to bulk up a little bit - but hell no like the S - H - A - Q monster. About getting the ball to Yao, I saw a lot of room to improve - maybe even a new player that can do the passing. There are passes to Yao that are too low - resulting in turnover. There are passes not high enough - I think Miller picked a pass like that. But generally, there are close to enough passes to Yao - definitely ROX are doing a much better job here. It is natural that many chinese fans are over-enthusiastic - imagine even of 1% of them are like that, how many of them are. Most Chinese fans I know of are pretty smart and don't put one player over a team. Let's just have a good smile at these fans and keep our cool, as people can like the game THEIR OWN way . I do like ROX a lot now, especially when I saw players rushing to Yao when he got hammered by (Miller?) . That shows some good team chemistry, and trust me on this, this is the MOST important thing to win a champ - look at what the Lakers are now! Hmm, what else? Oh, yeah, the all-star poll. If the all star poll is meant (I think it is) to select the fans favorite, then, what to argue about? If people can get into all-star without playing a single game, is it too much to make Yao an all star because so many people like him? BTW, since I live in Boston, I would love to see a trade Pierce/Walker <--> Yao. Yes, I am only dreaming! Have fun in the game!
