This 6 game losing streak may hurt their market value.

No, of course they didn't tank it. And, neither were they just not good enough. They choked. They saw how important these games were, and their opponents were better able to cope with the pressure.

More chest beating manhood stuff. Whatever makes you feel better.

Yogi Berra had it right even if he was talking about baseball when he said it.

"Hey, some days you win, some days you lose and some days it rains."

I don't think we will ever tank. And while I can't fail them heart, it hurts more because of it.

There was a seriously pathetic effort out their on both ends of the floor for several games, so I wouldn't be surprised if something snapped or they were told... SOMEthing. I dunno. I really have no idea what to think, but that was NOT the same Rockets team we were watching up til that point in the season even during the Utah game.

We did not tank. There has to be something going on in the locker room, from Lee getting elbowed (KO'd) in practice, to the Kmart benching, to the Dalembert benching and so on. Something is not right in the organization right now. The Rockets are the best at keeping that away from the media. Almost to the "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" type of situation.

We will likely never know the actual problem/solution. All us fans can do is sit on the roller coaster of mediocracy and pray something big happens that changes the entire franchise. Whether that is us getting lucky and getting a top 3 pick or Les selling the franchise to someone that wants to win and stop treating the team as an investment where he wants a bigger return than the cost of the team when he bought it.

lmao. Just as illogical as the previous statement and just as stupid as this thread. It is called sarcasm, on both the comment I was replying to as well as my comment.... douschuda86

Nah, they didn't tank and I'm against tanking in itself. No matter the circumstance, I never want to see my team lose. And whats the coach going to say, "Come on guys, lets go out there and let the other team win?" Yeah right. Not a chance.

They purposely tanked b/c they had little to no shot w/o Camby/Dally in the playoffs.
Atleast this is what I tell myself to make it hurt less.

You ask if we tanked the last 6 games...

I ask if you think before you post.

Why the hell would we tank in order to miss the playoffs for another #14 draft pick? It makes no sense and is the stupidest idea I've ever heard. We're all dumber for having heard the suggestion. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I don't think the Rockets tried to tank. If they did, they picked the worst possible time to do it. The Rockets simply don't have enough talent. Even I was surprised at how well they were playing prior to the 6-game losing streak.

would the rockets have tanked if camby didn't have torn ligament in his hand?
would the rockets have tanked if camby didn't have back spasms?
would the rockets have tanked if dalembert didn't have back spasms?
would the rockets have tanked if lowry wasn't out 1 month and still recovering?
would the rockets have tanked if martin wasn't out 2 months and counting?
would the rockets have tanked if dragic didn't burn out playing 45 minutes per for a month?
would the rockets have tanked if patterson recovered fully from his foot surgery?

even w/ all the setbacks above, they still didn't tank. The setbacks just caught up to them.

More talented team or more cohesiveness

Plain simple. We lacked that in those 6 games

Come to think of it, with three games left, i think the Rockets should go ahead and throw in the old towel. They say we are mathematically still in it, but we all know better. We're not! Sit Scola, Dragic, Lowry, Camby and Dally for the rest of the season. These guys have other business to attend to;);). Empty the bench and let these guys earn their money. They should call up Fortson and Smith and let these guys get some exposure as well.

P.S. Just for kicks, throw Martin out there with them.;);)
