    Get off Bill. :p

Walton is enjoying himself out there. He is such an high spirited and intelligent guy, he wants other to share his enjoyment. He goes out of his way (on purpose) to make his comments hilarious, yet entertaining.

I think Walton is a breath of fresh air from all the CYNICAL analysts who can do nothing but get down on players just to make a point. While Walton has a propensity to spin things in a "positive" light... so be it! God knows we have too many CRITICALLY BAD analysts out there in the media.

    :p

Man, the big red head is truely hilarious. He does this all the time.

I don't think he was too serious about what he said, it's all for the show.

Bill Walton:D (and Clinton  ) should have made a cameo in "Half Baked", there's no way someone could be that jolly without help. I for one like any Bill who knows how to keep it real.

    :D &

I wonder if they will put Walton on NBA live 2004, that would be off the hook.

I personally find Bill Walton to be a much better professional basketball commentator than college basketball commentator. Once March Madness rolls around, we're all probably going to wish he would never speak again. Those that have seen him comment on college games know what I'm talking about (Arizona especially, though I wonder why? haha) For now, I say enjoy it....his wit is really showing and his comments during the game tonight were enjoyable, but then again, the win was much more so.

I liked how the other commentators made fun of Walton's enthusiasm for Ming. David Aldridge chimed in saying, the Downtown Athletic Club has just announced that the winner of the Heisman trophy is Yao Ming! Those guys sounded like they were having a lot of fun.

Right on! I have always enjoyed Walton. People seem to think he is being serious but in fact, most of the time his remarks are sarcastic and hilarious. One of his fav lines which I like is when a player fumbles a pass under the basket and Walton goes, "Where would you like it next time? Besides your hand." Haha...classic.. Listen carefully....I caught a bunch of sarcasm in tonights game itself.

Agree with you. Whalton is way too smart for some people here to understand him.

    WELL SAID!
And I didn't mind all the praise towards Yao, especially considering how he was claimed to be the next "bust".
    Preach on Walton.......

Was I the only one laughing when Walton made his brief comments concerning Cato?
Mainly talking about "seeing it all" when Cato made that nice pass right before half-time.

    :p

HAHAH! I am watching the replay and he just said it! "I have seen it all, Kelvin Cato with the backdoor drop pass"

"Sabonis, Yao Ming, Kelvin Cato, all in the same breath"

    hahaha Walton cracks me up.

Here's a mean reply from the IndyStar.com forum:

"Bill Waltons creaming of his pants over the guy was real annoying, why the hell is this guy a commentator. I know it may sound cruel but i kind of wish he still had a speech impedament so he wouldn't be a commentator. I'm sorry if I offended any one with that Walton comment."

"I think that life without margaritas is too much to give up."

-Walton in reference to Francis' diet to avoid the headaches

"Mo Taylor, who has literally stunk up the joint."

    -After Mo blew a layup

i remember back in the day there used to be something against walton amongst rocket fans for stuff he said about us but i was too young (like 12 or 13) to be paying attention so i never have disliked the guy and seem to like him more and more now. i especially like that he'll mention when the refs blow calls (unlike $%#@ doug collins) and he always makes great comments about players sucking during a game. "lindsay hunter is making devean george look like john stockton" after george had been bricking and then hunter came in and topped him has to be my favorite waltonism. love that "worst inbounds pass" quote too. even though he was WWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY over the top on the yao ming stuff tonight, at least yao's play semi-justified it. as a rockets fan, i say preach on like most of you, of course i can understand why indy fans didn't exactly like it.

about tonight's game, the i've seen it all with cato was great, but "we can all learn a lot from yao ming" was simply priceless.

i think bill walton derserve to brag alll he want n talk, praise yao ming all he want ,the guy walton was the only (maybe a few) to see yao 's potential before anybody n defended him early in the season too. Just imagine how happy he was at the game n yao ming playing so good make him even more excited:D i remember walton was saying something like hes yao's american father or sth like that, so he must love yao ming too. but bill walton get annoying sometimes but i think he is very funny sometimes with his exeggeration comments .
