I went to a game in that laker series. My first game. We lost. Makes me even more confused about why I'm still a big fan.

We've invested ourselves. I don't regret it at all. This will ALWAYS be my team. Despite all the **** they put us through, we'll always be here.

Yeah. I don't know how I got so mentally attached to this team. I don't regret it either .It will make it just that much sweeter once we finally win again.

No, never stop being a fan. I live in OKC so I get to hear about the Thunder 24/7. They are good and winning a title would bring prestige to the city, but the Rockets will ALWAYS be my favorite team. igo all the way back to Toby Kimball and Don Kojis

I hope we can finally break our losing streak by winning against the hornets.

Could somebody please tell Bill Worrell and Matt Bullard to stop being such homers? Worrell actually said he was proud of the team after this most recent debacle. Let me get this, the team has lost FIVE in a row at the worst possible time. They also allow 117 points and Bill is proud of them? come on Bill, as a fellow coog I think you've done a pretty good job of calling games but this is ridiculous. Stop kidding us and yourself and tell it like it is. This is a good-old fashioned choke job and I'm not at all proud of the Rockets right now. It's pretty obvious what this team needs. it's up to Morey to get it done or they will have the same problems again next season. This is a jump shooting team with no inside game or star player. totally disgusted with this group of pretenders.

What's really depressing is that this was a must win game for us that we couldn't even win against a team coming off overtime. Albeit it was on the road an they are champs but come on, a MUST-WIN and we give up 117 pts.

    Pure embarassment

Yeah I find my self remembering those championship years. I was nine and ten years old when they won their titles. I remember especially the second one because since we're chasing the suns for the playoff spot, it was that game 7 where we were down by 15 points in the second quarter (44-29) and American West Arena was rocking. The rockets looked dead in the water until they came back to life in that fourth quarter. That and the game 5 against the Jazz in the first round really when clutch city started to show through.

There's not a trace of heart in this team right now. They have spurts when they get out for a fast break or an easy dunk and have a double digit first quarter lead, but McHale's substitution patterns just kill us and he takes out the players that are contributing to the game. The players themselves have no confidence in their game and just aren't addressing the issue that they aren't getting back on defense, their rebounding is atrocious, and when they miss four or five shots in a row, the other team scores ten or twelve points in a row. Then its an uphill battle from there and they just cannot solve the opposing teams pick n roll. Now we had a good third quarter for a change in which we outscored Dallas by six, but it only delayed the inveitable as the Mavericks scored 39 points in that last quarter. Its still about a 30 percent shot at the playoffs since the suns lost also, but the players cannot rely on the coach that if they "win this amount of games then we're in". They need to play the game to their best and win.

I was at the game, and I tell you what... we didn't play perfectly (I wanted to kill Ppat), but for the most part our guys played hard and I was proud for the first 3 quarters overall against the Mavs on the road. It meant a lot to them too.

Then... the 4th happened. Dirk makes 2 3s (Rockets still up) and seriously, goddammit Dallas was making 3 after 3 tonight first of all. Sure Houston had 12, but 3 of those were in the final minute and rushed because we had nothing else to do. Dallas was hitting them consistently ALL night. secondly tho, in the 4th... OMFG with the foul calls? Houston had 1 and.... Dallas had...6 I think? The Rockets FINALLY got a 2nd on Lowry's 4-pt play, but dear GOD the Mavs seemed to score on every play down the floor whether it was a jumper or FTs. Infuriating!

and whats worse? Dirk!!!! One one play at the 3-pt line, he runs forward and lifts his arms up and cradles the Rockets defender's head in his arms and OH, YEH, foul on Houston of COURSE! and right before that late steal that got us to within 4, Dirk pushes off our guy under the basket, no call... and Scola pushes off Dirk, call. DAMMIT! MORE FTS DIRK!

I swear, the 4th was completely ass-backwards from the rest of the entire game. I wish Papt wouldve stopped leaving his assignments wide-the-f open as well... but we really had a chance in this game and I felt like the fourth was handed to the Mavs. Tonight, calls were made on both sides for things that seemed stupid or ticky-tack, and all the calls THAT SHOULD'VE been made were either missed completely, or called after for the other team as some kind've make-up call or something. I just sat there quietly as Dirk caught fire, was handed FT after FT, and Mavs fans cheered annoyingly around me. Even my buddy thought the 4th seemed a little one-sided, but oh well. Our shtty team lost. again.

At least PHX lost... either way we went from 5th to 10th in less than 2 weeks. I'm so disappointed and angry and there's just nothing to be done.

and it was a good game. I know it was and I appreciate it... but it being our 5th in a row... and against the teams we lost to... it just feels like all those disappointing playoff series in the mid 2000s (DAL, UTA, UTA) where you thought we were totally going to make it happen...AND....nothing.

As a fan, I feel completely deflated. I've never felt like that with games still to play.

4 games... and it actually could still be done, but I feel like I don't care anymore.

I agree about McHale's substitution patterns. Patterson is pretty much useless and I don't know why Dalembert didn't play in the 2nd half at all. Also after Dragic had that fast break layup after a steal McHale immediately subbed in Lowry when Dallas called a timeout.

BTW, I agree 100% with the others posters that this stupid Ppat/Scola 4thQ finish is getting ANNOYING, what the hell McHale???? PUT A CENTER IN, TRY IT! IT cant hurt since we went 0-5 dammit

Well...Patterson is a much weaker player than Scola. It's not Scola's fault. Scola is one of the most clutch players on the team. He just needs to have either Camby or Dalembert in there during the final stretch of the game.
