Clutch, when did you first hear about this trade maybe going down? Ha sit been in the works a long time or a recent development? Who instigated it?
Just heard it on 610AM. KT to Denver then on to Philly. Rockets get James Posey and a second round pick. Philly sends Mark Bryant and one other player to the Nuggets.
Posey will instantly improve perimeter defense and he can legitimately play both the 2 and the 3, which makes him valuable in that regard. Plus, he is young and athletic. He can score though he does not have a good percentage, but that could change when he is wide freakin' open with Francis and Yao drawing double teams. Mainly, it gives KT a great opportunity to move on and find his game in a different system that wasn't working for him any longer and it give the Rockets a young defensively talented athlete. Good trade all around.
Actually, it means less time for Hawkins more than anyone. He will back up Cat at the two as much as Rice at the three.
I've been watching James Posey since draft day when Denver took him. He is defensive minded. He has good court vision. He has improved every year he's played. He's the 3 we've been looking for. A poor man's Ron Artest. Great Trade Houston!!!
Wow! KT has been our best power forward this year by far. He has also been our best low post defender. We are going to miss him but it is probably a trade that had to be made. This puts a lot of faith in Eddie and MoT. I hope that they are up to the challenge.
The Associated Press is reporting that the Nuggets, Rockets and 76ers have agreed to a three-way trade sending James Posey to Houston, Kenny Thomas to Philadelphia and Mark Bryant and Art Long to Denver. it is real.

Didn't Doc Rocket call this one a while ago? I believe he posted an implication that Thomas would be traded before the end of the year.
James Posey is really good defensively. Jordan was trying to get him for the Wizards during the summer. I think it automatically updates our perimeter defense a lot.
