The Bobcats are a product of overall bad management. They are paying a combined $33MM to Maggette, Diaw, Thomas and Diop who are all players that they did not draft.

Maggette was part of the cost to get Biyombo in the draft. This was a Rich Cho move, who was part of the OKC/Sonics front office, so many are praising.

Exactly. they site teams with bad management yet praise Morey like he could not possibly make these same mistakes if he just got his superstar. The hypocricy.

Let me give you guys a clue. Using these teams as examples if we lost to get into the top 5 drafting as examples why not to do it does not work.

    Clippers because it finally worked
    Nets bad management
    Twolves finally worked
    Bobcats bad management
    OKC worked
    Bulls worked
    Wizards bad management so far
    Sacramento has no star
Orlando worked then bad management when close
    Heat worked with Wade
Cleveland worked with Lebron then bad mangement when they got close

all worked or bad management. So if you are saying we get one of the top picks and Morey screws it up? Then you are agreeing with me Morey is a horrible GM. We should get rid of him anyways. If you really believe in Morey? You think they can rebuild and if they lose? He can turn those top picks into a better team. Unless he stinks like the Charlotte GM, Nets GM, and Raptors GM. If he stinks we need to get rid of Morey anyways.

If they are going to trade up, they should look to get Robinson to replace Patterson and Scola. Since this isn't likely, i would prefer they stack up on the picks, if possible. Snatch as much talent from this draft as possible. I doubt Boykins, Fortson, Simpson and Thomas(Malcolm) are still going to be on the roster come offseason. So we will have the roster space. The ideal situation would be to have a lotto pick, one just outside of the lotto and two lower 1st or 1 lower first and a 2nd rounder(or two). Totally rebuild from this draft.

Why would they EVER trade Yao? You know why they didn't trade Yao DD ;)

Even if they guy because a one legged Center who played 30 games the rest of his career Yao was the big cash cow for Les. Not many teams would have traded Yao.

Also though he was just coming off that Laker series and he looked pretty dominant for most of that season he played. Almost like he was just entering his prime.

Still though he built a contending team around Yao that Yao never got to play with.

I think if we let go of Morey we are going to look foolish because a team with a established superstar is going to pick him up and make us look stupid. That's just my opinion.

Can't blame Morey for not getting the big superstar either, they are really hard to get and the only teams that have them are the teams contending for a title or teams who have them (like Minny) but not quite the talent around them.

You cannot rebuild until you have a foundation to build on. The Rockets have no Superstar foundation. Continuing to add 2nd rate assets ad nauseam for the purpose of adding assets is pointless.

Even for trade value you need top 5 picks or players of that caliber, and you place yourself out of the running for those with the strategy of continuing to add low lotto and lower 1st round picks.

According to what appears to be half of clutchfans, our GM is just as bad.

Yeah but they are getting another good young prospect in this year's draft

I've been pretty anti-tanking, but looking at the way Rockets are playing, I think tanking might be the only way

Whoa, im all about starting over but Lowry and Dragic are definitely starters on a lot of teams in this league.

The season to 'blow it up' was this past season. Deep draft class and short season. If they didn't do it for this season, it's not going to happen.

Just a guess here...you didn't figure the Grizzlies would be better than the Rockets any time soon either, right?

I'm at the point that NOBODY is untouchable on this team! Morey said Lee is coming back since he's a restricted free agent & Motiejunas is coming over next season! Everyone else can possibly be used in trades this summer or traded on draft night!

I never thought I'd EVER see the day where I was looking down at the floor when walking past a Clippers fan. Clippers...smh

This is what you get when you rebuild without tanking.
