Hey Guys, As most of you know i am in the aviation industry and i fly planes for a living. I recently flew into KIAH and used the Rokit One Arrival. ( An Arrival is a set of waypoints put into a planes GPS to fly in order to line them up for the runway, it created a smooth flow of traffic into busy airports, they are also known as STARS). I have the link of the chart for the ROKIT one arrival and im sure you guys will get a kick out of it. Name all the waypoints that you can notice. http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1204/05461ROKIT.PDF Also i have included the "Stros one" Arrival:http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1204/05461STROS.PDF And the "Dynmo One" Arrival: http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1204/05461DYNMO.PDF Its great to see the FAA and Houston airspace take our sports seriously and incorporate them like this.
I have no clue what the hell it all means. I do see some Rockets related thing, including Tmacc I kinda understand it. but still, what a mess.
its not that bad, Chart begins on right hand side of page, if you are planning on arriving into Intercontinental you take the Akeem (Hakeem) and Ruddi (RudyT) Waypoints which will bring you right into the airport. Landing in Hobby? you go down to DRXLR (Clyde Drexler) there is quite a few more rockets related way points if anyone can point them out
It's not bad. It's really just s toad map in the air. The SIDs and STARs are simply giving the pilots what heading and flight level they need to be at a certain way point.
ROKIT, MRPHY, SKORZ, YAAOW, MINNG, DUUNK, RUDDI, AKEEM, DRXLR, SSLAM, TMACC Only thing missing is one for Bobby Sura  something like SURRA, FAINTS
this is what I gathered from your map... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/L9fhxa8yFb0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Lol naw these are created and published by the FAA for all airplanes to follow and comply with air traffic control.
Don't forget the TEXNN version. Somewhere has ITAWT ITAWA PUDYE TTATT, with IDEED as the holding fix for a missed approach. That one cracks me up.
