i suppose that last post was a picture of him....i haven't even seen what the guy looks like !

he needs to get some playing time, if he's bad Rudy can always sit him back down, but let's see what he can do at least

I think what we don't realize is that Boki is not as good a shooter as we think he is. He's better than most Europeans at getting to the rim, but I doubt he's as good a shooter.

Maybe his shot is off BECAUSE of the operation?

I just don't recall Rudy saying "He's an incredible shooter" or anything like that.

I too would vote for the hernia, and also a lack of defense.

But just for historic reference, the Rocks drafted this G from Florida State in the early '90s, and he literally spent the first half of his rookie year collecting splinters. In fact, I had forgotten they drafted him until he started getting consistent minutes during the latter part of the season.

    That rookie was Sam Cassell.

He turned out OK, I guess.

Say whatever you want about Rudy, dude has a great track record in handling rookies. If Rudy wants to hold Boki back right now, then he must have a good reason, I'm totally comfortable with that.

I have heard that Boki is still recovering from the surgery. Actually if you watch him at a home game, you will see he has something he holds on his side, either an Ice Pack or Heating pad throughout the entire game. Also, you can see him shifting his weight around with obvious discomfort. My bro's season tickets happen to be right across from the Rockets bench in the upper level. So I had a great view at Boki.

I don't understand why he is not on the injured list though.

You want to put a guy out there when he's in his bes tshape, especially for a rookie from Europe.

He absolutely deserves a chance, but unfortunately with the combination of he being a rookie, Rice's hugh salary, log jam of other forwards, and Rudy's (or most coach's) loyalty to veterans, he'll just have to sit and wait.

Good thing is he's only 22 and if he continues to work hard (esp. on his defense), then he'll be there with Steve and Yao as being an important contributor as the years go by. He's making a cool sum of $$ while watching and learning, so don't feel too bad for him yet.

At the moment, TOAST, would be an apprpriate nickname for his defense :D

Who's picking up Rice's contract next year??
...that's what i thought....no one. He's here for the long haul, and, fortunately, he's picking up momentum...KT will be gone, maybe even this year, but that won't get Boki any time. The bottom line is that he should be getting TMo's time, cuz he most likely won't cut into anyone elses.
