Haven't been watching enough of their games. Tonight against Boston:

    Wade
    Miller
    Battier
    Bosh
    James

What do you think about that for a closing lineup?

    Just doesn't jive to me.

Chalmers should have been out there tonight at the end. When he's shooting well and his mind is in the game, Chalmers is their 4th most valuable player.

Well they don't have a center, so it can kind of be a problem.

I said all last summer this was their biggest need and they got nothing done.

Yes, Dexter Pittman and Eddy Curry count as nothing. Either of them getting floor time in the playoffs should chill the spine of Heat fans. Again, it's Joel Anthony or bust.

With their current roster, who else should it be for them really

Its their Big 3 in lineup, then complementary mediocrity to select on down. Haslem's regressed, or normally he'd be in there

Don't sleep on the Heat. That would be a major mistake.

Doesn't sparkle with me. I'd rather have Haslem instead of Battier.

Chalmers was on tonight, so he should have been out there. But other than that, that's a great closing lineup for Miami. LBJ can guard anyone so that gives them that flexibility to use that lineup.

MIller isn't fully integrated yet, but when healthy (big IF), this lineup will be lethal. You have 3 ballhandlers, 2 shooters, 2 superstar penetrators/ballhandlers, a good jumpshooting big man on offense. And these guys can switch defensively.

You really can't judge them tonight b/c nobody would have beaten Boston tonight the way they shot the ball all night. That was as close to a perfect game I've seen a team played.

But the Heat have another month. Mike Miller being healthy will be HUGE for them going down the stretch and into the playoffs. Their 3pt shooting and rebounding have been terrible, and MM will help that tremendously.

EDIT: And it doesn't help that Bosh has been playing like an average player since the break, and Wade has been barely above that this month. Those 2 can't suck forever. LBJ is finally hitting that groove again.

They need a center. Shane can still play. His 3p% has been creeping up.

no one would possibly sleep on that hype machine. everyone is absolutely charged up to beat that team come playoff time. we'll see how the heat respond. but don't for one second think that anyone is going to sleep on them.

things are going to get uncomfortable in miami if they don't win a ring this year...particularly if they don't find their way back to the Finals.

That would make for a great offseason discussion.

I still don't understand why they signed Battier instead of trying to get DalemBEAR.

I don't understand why more teams don't use a small lineup in closing situations especially on offense. If Miami would use Lebron at the 4 they could slide Miller in and have another jump shooter- just like New York has been using Melo at the 4 I think the heat should slide Lebron down.
    1. Chalmers
    2. Wade
    3. Miller/ Battier( offense/ defense)
    4. Lebron
    5. Bosh

They need a new coach ASAP if they cant win this year. They need offensive discipline. A scheme that actually puts guys in places to succeed. Yes, I know all their stars have great PER's  but they need a cohesive attack.

I don't like Miller on the Heat. Or at least not the way they use him. He's not a shooter, he's a well rounded basketball players. He rebounds, he passes, he competes. He isn't a specialist.
