Nuggets forward Al Harrington left Monday night’s game against Golden State at the end of the third quarter and did not return. Afterward he revealed he has a torn meniscus.

He’s hoping his consistent availablity this season doesn’t come to an end. Harrington, has, in fact already been playing with a torn meniscus, he said. He said he was injured “a couple of games ago.”

Now, he said, both he and team doctors/trainers are exploring “a couple of different options” in terms of treatment. With just two weeks left until the playoffs, Harrington, who added he’s never played on a torn meniscus before, wants to continue to play.

“I’m going to stay in the race,” he said.

Is he super important to the Nuggets?

Too bad the Nuggets don't have playoff security; Harrington could sit until the 'offs if the Nuggets were guaranteed in.

He's a good scorer/rebounder of the bench, and if he was being replaced by an average player it probably would cost them a game down the stretch. Unfortunately for the Rockets and the teams in the West in the playoff hunt, his minutes will be absorbed by the beast known as Kenneth Faried.

this is like when t-mac was hurt with all those injuries and still played through them in the playoffs and the 22-game win streak.

props to al harrington. i've always liked his game.

He's been one of the best bench players in the NBA this year. Consistent scorer who can create his own shot. But yes, Kenneth Faried will probably be taking more minutes now, and he's been beasting for the last 2 months.
