Should we nook Iran? what about the rest of hte middle east? Do they honestly just need a restart as in they are just too corrupt and backwards to progress? Think about it, Moslems coming in and already tried to mess with amreica, and now build some memorial on 9/11? Maybe we should just restart that whole place for peace sake!

    how butch: another warning.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/31/w...inspectors-confirm-iranian-progress.html?_r=1

WASHINGTON — Iran has installed three-quarters of the nuclear centrifuges it needs to complete a site deep underground for the production of nuclear fuel, international inspectors reported Thursday, a finding that led the White House to warn that “the window that is open now to resolve this diplomatically will not remain open indefinitely.”

The youth of Iran are going to change Iran eventually. Whatever happens, our best bet is not killing them.

Egypt's Morsi denounces Syria regime, defying summit host Iran

The Egyptian president calls Syrian President Bashar Assad's government 'oppressive' during the Nonaligned Movement summit hosted by Iran, an ally of Assad.

Ki-moon assailing Tehran's human rights record and implicitly criticizing its hostility to Israel.

I completely disagree about Iraq. I believe the weapons were moved to Syria and there was no plan prior to 9/11 to invade Iraq. Conspiracy theorists will theorize.

    So basically, you believe:

    (1) in a conspiracy theory for which there is no evidence (scheme to hide weapons in Syria), rather than the conventional explanation,

    (2) and that something for which there is a substantial amount of documented evidence (NSC meetings discussed this issue prior to Sept 11) you think is a groundless conspiracy theory.

Is there any wonder that it's hard to find common ground with an opposition party that is this grounded in fantasy/delusion?

Because the countries in the region are so stable at the moment, right?

A strong factor is how badly Obama ticked off Netanyahu. If Israel waits until just before the election, Obama's innate indecisiveness could cost him the election. On the other hand, if Obama comes to Israel's defense, the action might put him over the top. Either way, Israel wins because, if Obama falters, Netanyahu has Romney waiting in the wings. If Obama does win, the U.S. is already committed. For Israel, it is a win-win situation because they probably figure the Israili military can go it alone for a month or two.
