I think the thing that I am starting to like about Yao the most is that he steps up in the 2nd half and especially the 4th quarter. Yao really stepped up big in the 4th and in OT with his blocks and rebounds. Its like a light suddenly turns on when the game is on the line. I don't know if yall noticed it, but when I was watch the games I just get this feeling and I see Yao change his game and go to another level.

Also for you haters...Steve and Cat are like this too. They both want the ball when the game is on the line and they both step up and hit clutch shots. Its nice having 3 players who are all clutch. Those are the kinds of players that help win championships, not the Vince Carter type players who can kick ass for 3+ quarters, but choke when they have the game winning shot.

For yao....i know this all along.
yao has been "THE MAN" since he played basketball
back in the championship game (CBA)....he was perfect (22/22)
from the line......i know....CBA may be lesser competition...but still....in that game...he had like 30+ 20+ rebounds and blocks

i do really want yao to be more selfish....and not back down against "tough" players....he must know they wanna be physical on him....

Yao should be more physical to make a statement.

    GO YAO GO

I noticed this about Yao. Moochie, and Cuttino have been known to like and make the last shot. Now Steve, too. Having the guys to make the big shot with the game on the line is one of the pieces of a champion.

Of course we have a lot of steps before that time arrives.

I agree w/you Robbie380 on everything except what you said about francis and Mobley. From what i've seen Francis and Mobley tend to make too many mistakes when the game is on the line. Don't get me wrong, I think they're both fearless when it comes to taking the last shot, but when it comes to making the right decision or taking the best shot, that's when I have no confidence in them whatsoever!

robbie... I totally agree with you... I think in time, once he has more experience... he will demand the ball more in clutch sitations...

but as far as Vince not being a clutch player... I'm from toronto and see almost every raptors games... when VC has to step up... he does bigtime... recently... he's been injured and not himself... so we can't really expect him to do that... but when we had Tmac... it was Vince who stepped up and made all the big shots... not Tmac... You can kinda see that now in Orlando.. he's a great great player... but in the clutch... he messes up... that's why kobe is a better all around player than Tmac at this point.

exactly...if the buzzer is about to go off...i say have stevie drive and pitch it out to the wide open mooch. Moochie has that luck at hitting the game winning buzzer beaters.

They tend to make mistakes when they drive to the crowd, but both of them are good jump-shooters. So in the end, it serves them better if the Rox can design some plays to allow them to shoot an open 2 or 3.

    LOL
Butler clearly noticed this. He tried twice to dunk over Yao in the fourth quarter, and got rejected twice. And then he tried to head fake Yao and did get Yao up in the air. Yao landed on him and gave him a hard swat. Poor Butler was on the floor and not moving for a while... I think he got the message.
