Thanks for the post, RocketMan Tex.

After reading Rudy’s thoughts about the Olympic experience I have increased my respect for a man who I already admired. He takes pride in his job and sees leading this elite group of players in the Olympics an honor and a great responsibility! I also like what he said about the foundation of their team being defense… I’ve listened to many people post how Rudy has forgotten about defense on our Rocket’s team. Well, these are some of the most talented offensive players in the world and Rudy says the foundation of their team will be defense. I am sure that he has the same philosophy for our own Rockets! This is not the most talented USA team their has been, but with Rudy at the helm they should have no problem bringing home the gold!

I have a lot of repspect for Rudy too and I hate it whenever posters harp on Rudy and his coaching techniques. The man is a great coach and he usually doesn't get much credit for all the work he does. If we make it to the Playoffs this next year, I think Rudy will deserve "Coach of the Year" recommendation.
