    is yao tired or not?
I noticed that in yao 's recently play....he always lagged behind in the fast break play....what happened?
he used to run with the guards....now...he seems to "walk" so causcally up the court

did anyone notice?.....please give in some thoughts

I watched the game in the arena. Grant defended Yao very well, still he got 5 fouls. It is amazing even though Yao did not dominate, he still got a double-double. I can not wait to see how he performs once he gets more strength.

I can tell it is difficult to give him the ball in the post. The spacing is not right. There are always some defenders around him. It is not that simple to just lob the ball to him. Also Yao's hands are still not very strong yet to hold the ball tightly.

I'm happy. We beat a lousy team. Barely beat them with some clutch plays. Didn't see the game, though. Are we playing as poorly as last year (iso, drive into a forest of opposing players, circus shot with no time/no rebounders), except with a giant in the middle as a big eraser for some of our mistakes?

I'm actually satisifed with Cato's performance - got lots of rebounds, tho low shooting percentage for him, in limited PT.

and another thing, how can someone make a great play only to follow it up with a boneheaded one ala steve francis. first he misses two crucial free throws late in regulation, but hits the game-tying three at the end. then, in overtime, we're up two points, have the ball with about 20 seconds still left on the shot clock and he decides to dribble into the paint, where 3 miami defenders are waiting. so he loses the freakin ball. AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I think Steve is getting paid off by bookies to keep the games close. Either that, or he likes to toy with our emotions in order to get every highlight on SportsCenter.

    Sweetness... thy name is "W"

It's nice to have broken our two game losing streak. Hopefully, we can keep up with our winning ways and beat Indy next. As to tonite's game, I esp enjoyed EG stepping it up late. He was an unlikely hero, but he really did come through, even through he didn't play all that well during regulation. Also, anyone else think we ought to have played zone more?

Hey NetsFan2000, these are great pics

But that first one with Brian Grant and Yao.... Yao looks like he's getting raped. What was going on during that play?

I quite the cc.net chat room when there was like 9sec left in the game and eddie had the ball. I figured it was over, and the rocks, I was fed up after their collapse and i didnt feel like watching the end (6 sec later).
My msn alert came up telling me that the rocks were up by 2 in OT, i was freaked out, I couldnt believe that they pulled that out into OT after falling apart.
So glad...if they lost this....hmmm....losing to the 3 worst teams in the NBA (maybe not) but still...terrible teams...

Yao is a big fella. NOT a fast break guy. Leave the fast break to the guards. Yao's job is to clean up class and jam the paint.

Too many jumpshots, and not enough touches for Yao.

Rudy is really starting to piss me off.

I can only assume that he is telling the guys to take those shots.

If they fall, great, but it would be better to work from the inside out.

    DaDakota,

I might have to disagree with you on this one. Did u see the Heat front Yao? Being the master of D, Riley got his thugs ready to body up on Yao. I think Rudy had to compensate by relying on the guards more tonite. It's one thing to get Yao the ball, it's quite another to get it to him in a good position. Unless Yao gets planted in the low post and stays here, there's not really much time to swing him the ball. Maybe practice will help.

Let's see what happens on Thursday.

seems Yao get less and less shot after Mobely came back...come on, that guy works his ass off to give you guys a 2nd chance shot, and he deserve some of it as well! 8 offense rebounds! we are talking about the number which how a center and a PF can get for the whole game and not to mention they all offensive!

Fronting Yao gives Yao the chance to get more rebounds.

The Griz and Clippers both kicked some butt tonight. They're getting better. That makes me feel better.

Not a bad idea since Rudy's not using him to run our offense, anyway.

I was hoping we would lose today so RUDY would realize that iso doesnt work.

It's so frustrating to watch that crap offense even though we won.

    bleh............
