So a bunch of kids living in their mom's basement think they can take down the internet. Interesting. I can't wait to laugh once this comes and passes with no one noticing.

Hmmmm. Has anonymous down anything major outside of DDoS attacks and some phishing emails?

If all their past threats became true we'd have no facebook, government sites, etc. These guys are pathetic little attention whores.

Empty threats. The internet, including the DNS system, is way too decentralized to attack in this manner. The absolute worst they could do is take down a few master DNS servers and cause temporary outages for a few pockets of users here and there. Just a little bit of attention whoring in retaliation for the recent spate of arrests, nothing more.

Exactly. What kind of idiot thinks the entire internet runs off of one or two DNS servers? I have one on my personal network that will provide the services I need if the two DNS servers my ISP uses goes down.

The guys to worry about, the ones that actually have the skill to disrupt, will never warn before they act.

Anonymous are just a bunch of kiddy attention whores.

This is a serious question : can we function if we don't have the internet anymore? Can we truly go back to the days without the internet?
