It looks like Lin is going to require surgery on his knee.

    Dragic by a landslide.

Dragic has hit some really clutch shots as well, and he's proven it in the playoffs. He also steps up his game against elite level PG's while Lin has gotten creamed by them.

I will concede that you can't go wrong in either case, but if it was Dragic or Lin, I'm taking the White Rocket all day.

I honestly thought this was a dead topic. If the Knicks had Lowry or Dragic Lin would be seeing a whole bunch of pine time.

Lin is a bad defender, Dragic is a good one.

I'm just mad at this asset policy maury has going, one where no contracts are offered to assets in season. =(

GOran needs to be a Rocket. If lowry or dragic played for a team that the media unloads on, then those two guys would be all stars.
Lin is not as good as the guys we have.

Dragic. Lin can only effectively go to his right and is extremely turnover prone.

The real question should be "Lin or Flynn (or Terrence Williams)".

In hindsight, we gave up T-Will for nothing, so holding on to him made no sense. We could have cut him earlier and could have kept Lin. At the time we did cut Lin, it should have been clear that neither Flynn nor T-Will were regarded as assets around the league (and neither did Hasheem Thabeet).

There were about 2 1/2 months between us releasing Lin and then releasing T-Will for nothing. It's not like we didn't know already that T-Will, Flynn and Thabeet had no future with the Rockets. And at the end of December 2011, we also already knew that they had no value on the market.

I'm a Morey fan, but even he himself said that he messed up in this instance.

I don't think it was known back in December that Terrence Williams wouldn't be a contributor. He was in the rotation through the first week of January.

It was pretty much known about Flynn and Thabeet, though.

right now, got to be the dragon. i think goran represents what lin can become. i know it has been talked about before, but there's a reason why lin brought up dragic as the PG he most likely compares his game to

I thought I read somewhere that McHale liked Flynn since his Minny days. That could be a reason why they held on to him that long. Lin could have been Morey's 4th backup PG slam dunk: Brooks, Lowry, Dragic...

Flynn was drafted after McHale left. McHale likely did some scouting on the kid but never worked with him

Careful, the Lowry brigade can't handle the truth right now they are too sensitive.
