and a lot of patience! It also will take a lot of courage by the Coach Rudy T. to take control of his team and bring back team spirit and unselfish play. The end result will be Team Basketball, where players trust one another, it will be a game that will slowly switch from being Guard oriented, to a game which is Center oriented. If the Rockets make their goal of just getting into the playoffs this year, we should be on course to greater things next year. As a Rox fan I urge my fellow Rox Fans not to panic, but to sit back and relax a little, there is a lot of talent on our team still awaiting its chance to show.

Unfortunately, Rudy would only have three years to figure this out.

I guess he wants to say Yao will leave Rox at that time.

I dont think the GM will be enough patient for waiting 3 years.

I just cant forsee that Francis can stand he is not in the spotlight. He might be a guy with a lot of hearts, but his nature is to be the #1. An old chinese saying "One mountain cant house two tiger"

    Nice thread Yetti...very positive.

It's gonna be a roller coaster season. We've got the glimpse of what this team could become but let's remember that these guys are young. There will be some nights where we wonder if brain and heart transplants can be done overnight. What's better than watching a young team learn from their mistakes and develop into a playoff team. Actually, I know...a playoff team learning from their mistakes and becoming a championship team. Ay ay ay...we got a long road ahead Rox fans but have faith...this road will lead to the Finals!!

I would like to think of Yao as the lion and Francis as the cheetah. Now, if we could only figure out what to do with the three-toed sloth (Rice), the baboon (MoT), and the hyena (Cuttino)

(I like Cat but he reminds me of a hyena when he laughs)

Well this team has had a full 22 games to learn to play together so there is no reason that they should not be dominating.

This teams future core players are Francis (25), Mobley (27), Yao (22), and Griffin (20). This team is young and has plenty of time to learn to play together. Give them until the end of the year and the players that do not appear to fit can be dealt for players that will fit.

Remember that the Kings and Mavs did not become such high powered and potent offenses over night. It took many seasons of their core players playing together to become what they are today. So I'm with you Yetti, this will take time and we should all site back and enjoy the ride.
