I was happy to see Ricky leave New Orleans; it just wasn't right for him. Now he just had 2-200 yard games back-to-back. I think they said first time for back-to-back deuces in 18 years. Last week, he had more yards in 3 quarters than anyone ever; he only ran once in the 4th and he had something like 223 yards anyway. He has almost 2000 total yards for the year, with 3 games left.

    HOOK'M!

By the way, before the season I was told that Ricky, "Can't break the big one" and "wasn't the savior of an offense". I'd like to take the time, in my best Nelson impersonation to say, "Ha.Ha."

man i'm loving this UT domination. get a little earl campbell mention as the last with back to back 200 yard games. then a little ricky and priest mention for leading the league. priest could be breaking yards from scrimmage, total td, and rushing td's later this year. ricky apparently would have the back to back record if miami would run him in the 4th. and they just said he's the first ever with back to back 210 yard games (may have heard that wrong but i think that's what they said).

Cohen - Ricky is good, that's for sure.

But he ain't close to 2000 yards, he just crossed 1500 with back to back 200yd games. He would need some huge games to get close to 2000 vs some tough teams.

I am a little biased of course - he just made the Bears D looks even worse than they already did. Injuries.... fun fun!

Ricky - Say hello to your demise next week, Mr. Samuel Adams,Mr. Jon Parrella, along with the AFC's 3rd leading Sacker Rod Coleman, with help from LB rookie sensation Napoleon Harris, veteran Bill Romonowski, and unsung hero Eric Barton, will show you what its like to face a true run stuffing defense. Ask LT how he did against us. Your defensive backs may be able to stop Rice and Brown, but guess what? Charlie Garner, Jerry Porter, Doug Jolley. The 3 people you don't want catching the ball, You can't cover them all, They will get open, and when they do, Its lights out. The Oakland Raiders are the AFC's best and we will show you how to play the game of football.

I liked Madden's comment during the game... "How many draft picks has Williams been traded for throughout his career?"

With the way he's running now, Miami may end up pulling a Mike Ditka!

In response to Pued's comment, I'd like to point out the Saints record.

As one of the ones who supported the Ricky trade, I didn't doubt Ricky's abilities. I've always thought Miami was a good fit for him. However, six months ago and still today, I think Deuce is a better fit for the Saints offense, and I think their record reflects it. (9-4 despite giving up 20 pts in every game)

Both teams won, and it's nice to see Ricky and Priest leading the league in rushing.

I can't get too excited about current NFL stats, since the league is so watered down. It's like all the teams are the same.

    Cat --

I think if you put "this year's Ricky" in the Saints' offense they might even improve on that record. And last year, that team had other problems besides the running game (i.e. they were quitters)I don't think you could question this year, in any offense, that Ricky's the better back -- although I say that with some reservations since Deuce has been struggling with injuries.

Gonna end up being a great deal for both teams, though.
