    Wow. Just . . . wow.

I never realized you took this BBS so seriously, man.

I never claimed to be "infallible" and have repeatedly admitted when I was objectively wrong. (Go ask HMMMHMM, who has corrected me on multiple occasions.)

Also, I never once posted on this BBS (your poll thread included) with the intent to undermine you in any way. Sorry if you felt I did or if it turned out that I inadvertently did.

"Agreeing to disagree" doesn't mean I can't write my opinion in a thread just because you started it. You can espouse whatever opinions you like in threads I start, if that makes you feel better.

The smiley face comment was an honest attempt at jest, and I think you're the only person on this BBS who viewed it as an affront to you. It wasn't until you attacked me that robbie380 bothered to respond to you about any of this.

If you can trust that I am being sincere here, I'm asking that you please just get over this mindset of yours and allow us to have reasoned and respectful discourse (which does not preclude any form of levity). Just know that I am not the kind of person who intentionally takes digs at people and only make comments like the smiley face one to those with whom I'm trying to be friendly.

If you cannot trust that I am being sincere, I kindly ask that you no longer reply to my posts (ignore me if you like), and I will do the same.

I hope you choose to trust my sincerity so that we can move forward. Thanks.

The Knicks still keep on chucking up three's like there's no tomorrow so there's always a chance.

Bima's a great poster. He's one of few posters that actually actively stay away from pointless arguments.

Don't know why we have this going on.

It gets worse with the "you're just a rookie" and the "I have more green bars than you" posters (*cough* DD! *cough*) on the BBS.

That's not me. I judge people based on their posts. I find intelligent rookies to be some of the best posters because they do not bring an arrogance with them. Besides Bima has been here as long as me and I have been an opiniated #$@ since my rookie days. I actually feel I have mellowed believe it or not.

So much hate on the board as of late. How come? Aside from the normal flamers now we have all of the " old timers" (if you will) at odds with one another. Like or dislike, it's like reading a Dick Justice article, you still read it. It's these passionate post that keep a long time "reader" (like myself) returning. I hate to see the old timers hating on one another though, so much so that they don't even post in each other's threads anymore or put each other on ignore. The quality of the whole board starts to suffer.

It was these opinions, and information contributions, that keep someone like myself returning!!

OMR and Bima are both respected long time posters. They are engaged in some old fashion debate. That's fine with me. Though nowadays people (including myself) have less patience in reading long posts. So to be honest, I quit reading their arguments in this thread about 40 pages ago.

yeah that didn't come across to me as "hate"... you get alot more of that on other boards / other posters. both OMR and bima are fine.

Yeah perhaps hate wasn't the correct word/phrase for this case. I just hate seeing the threads go personal. I love all the old guys with strong posting skills. Bima, OMR, even DD though I don't always agree with em lol. I just stop reading when it gets bad haha

Just seems like we as readers are more on edge, less patience as a whole. I think it's related to us:
    -not being a strong team
    -no super star
-no real clear end to mediocrity in sight

Patience of fans is running then. We came to expect greatness and now it's hard to accept. We all have strong opinions as to the best way to get us back to the promised land.

FWIW I don't really delete emails, so I still have your email in my inbox. But let's let bygones be bygones. Moving on....I do actually agree with where you feel like the franchise should be going.
