Many fans hate to even think about that. Their minds somehow would like to linger on all flashes this guy has created or will create. Do they understand that NBA is such a business? Do not get youself so personal on this please. If one guy hurts the team, trade him. Hope some fans think about what a decent PF and PG will bring to our team instead of how sad life would be without steves' entertaining flashy moves that sort of has labeled rox basketball recently. Things come and go, just find the best fit and keep winning and keep a good business.

It's time to bring Maddox in the rotation.

I don't necessarily disagree about Francis, but another PF brought into the logjam is not what the Rox need.

    Such a pattern.

Earlier this season it was "Trade for Barry" after we played Seattle and "Trade for Wallace" after we played portland.

Earlier today it was "Trade for Gasol" after we played Memphis

Now its "Trade for Brand" after the Clipper game.

My guess is the next week well see "Trade for Eddie Jones or Caron Butler" and "Trade for Jermaine O'Neal" and "Trade for Jamal Tinsley and Ron Artest".

Who wants to make a wager with me? :D

What's funny is I would'nt even do a Francis and Mobley for Brand and Miller trade.

To say that Wang is equal to KT or Cato is ridiculous.

    Let's use a unit P. Assuming Cato + KT - Wang is P.

Let's use another unit S. Assuming Francis + Mobley - Brand + Miller is S.

Now, can you honestly say that at the very least, this isn't true:

    P = 2*S

    We lose on this trade.

BUT, throw Q Richardson, OR Lamar Odom, OR Maggette in, and you have a deal.

Yes, let's trade Francis for Brand and Miller, two players who have never led their teams to winning records on their own, and who haven't led their team to a winning record together. F***ing brilliant idea.

Let's do a three-way trade with Memphis and the Clippers, and receive half of each team. That way, we can have an 8-16 record.

    I like this lineup:

    Miller
    Williams
    Piatkowski
    Brand
    Wright

I'm sure that team could win 30 games in the east.

    LOL!

I take it this staying positive thing isn't going too great for ya, is it ZRB?

It's just speculating man. Andre Miller hasn't done anything his entire career. Hell, he can't even boast being like a top 3 pick or anything.

It's funny, I always thought of him as a Stockton clone, and it seems he's the Jazz's heir apparent. The Utah Jazz will throw everything Miller's way for him to play for them next season.

It can be a new Rockets-Jazz rivalry all over again. At least then, the true fans won't say he's better than Francis.

It's just funny that I used to be the negative one, and nearly everyone else put on a positive front, and singled me out.

Now that I am finally feeling positive most of the time, everyone else is negative!

    I can't win. :(

Just one more (long) point I'd like to make:

Almost everyone here (at least following losses) seems eager to trade Francis for a Stockton-type player, and I just don't understand it. He and Karl Malone are exactly the type of players the Rockets should avoid like the plague. What exactly did they accomplish? They NEVER won a title, and never will. All they ever did was put up great stats.

I don't care how good the stats are, if you never win the big one. The Jazz never won the ring because Flopton and Failman were never able to step up and play well when it counts. They had two chances to beat the Bulls, and plenty more to get past the Rockets, and they consistently failed.

Steve seems like the kind of player that can make a difference. He is the kind of guy that can carry a team in spurts, when everyone else is collapsing. He is the kind of leader you want in the playoffs. The guy does his best to get everyone else involved, but when it isn't working, he carries the team on his shoulders. The Jazz never won the ring because Flopton and Failman were never able to step up and play well when it counts. They had two chances to beat the Bulls, and plenty more to get past the Rockets, and they consistently failed.

Steve has done that better than ever this season. He had a miserable game today, but he has also had some spectacular games. How quickly people forget that he scored 14 straight points to end the game and beat Portland with a game-winner. How quickly they forget that he all but guaranteed a win over Sacramento, and delivered.

Now you combine him with a soon-to-be dominant center and Yao Ming, and you have one hell of a core. The problem right now is that everyone surrounding Steve and Yao are too inconsistent. On some nights, they step up, and Steve can spread the ball around with ease. Other times, they play like ****, and Steve can single-handedly carry the Rockets to wins. Today, EVERYONE had a bad game. Yes, this is a team sport, and the whole team is to blame.

Rudy needs to find a solid rotation, and stick to it. The players need a clear idea of when they are going to play, and what is expected of them. Steve, Yao, and to some extent, Cuttino, understand that. The rest of the team needs to start playing consistently on both ends.

If anyone has been watching this team for the past few years, and doesn't notice a distinct difference in the style of play the Rockets have been using, then something is wrong. The last two games aside, this team has been great this year.

I feel confident that the Rockets are going to find their chemistry. Hopefully these two losses will motivate them. They need to learn that they have to bring the same effort every night. The Kings-game intensity should be the rule, not the exception.

No matter what, there is too much talent on this team to not make the playoffs, but I still feel that the Rockets have a chance to be in the top four. If that doesn't happen, then making a trip to the post season as a low seed will demonstrate to the Rockets just the kind of intensity it takes to win consistently in this league.

    They will soar from there.

Lose to the Grizz: Trade for Gasol
Lose to the Clipps: Trade for Miller & Brand

Any spot a pattern here?
