can't wait to lose to another lousy team tomorrow in the Clippers, maybe we'll have a chance since we're at home..I'M GETTING SO SICK OF MISSED FREE THROWS AT THE END OF GAMES...we should be 15-6 now if it weren't for these "2-missed-free-throws-at-the-end-games" games

*lol* -- You fool. Geez -- I hate (the ideas) these newbies who really could care less about the Rocket and how they do, as long as Yao succeeds. Get off Yao's sack for a minute, OK? Stop blaming Steve; he was the only reason the game went to OT in the first place. Secondly, you and others act like Yao Ming isn't to blame @ all for the loss. If you watched, you'd see that Yao is a horribe help defender right now. In fact, it can be said that Steve on occassion played J-Will perfectly when he would go behind him as WIlliams drove the lane. It is now up to Yao to send a message, either by a blocked shot or hard foul. But no, Jason was able to drive the lane w/no problem @ all. It's happened a lot this season and again tonight. Yao was a non-factor on D.

Look, Yao is great -- I'm EXTREMELY happy he's a Rocket -- but if you're going to blame steve for every loss, blame Ming, too, and others @ the same time when warranted.

Look, I'm kinda with you on the responsibility issue. But please don't call others "newbies" while yourself still carries the label "junior member".

On a side note, I was promoted to "member status" a couple of days ago. Should I say, "cheers!"?;)

man, last nights game was awesome!! even though we lost, you have to commend the grizzlies on a spectacular game; jerry west might be a genius if the hubie brown project works. and as for the yao vs. steve debate, i think it is ludicrous. it is obvious they bring different dimensions to the team that will help us excel in the longrun, one or the other will not lead us to the promise land. but i'll tell you this...i went through last season (and still made it out as a die hard fan) and realized that steve, cat and moochie have a lot of mental lapses...even after all their "learning experiences." they all get so caught up in all the hoopla that they can't control themselves (ie steves first couple of games he played against gary payton). and for last nights game, the last couple of minutes of regulation and overtime proved that they need to tone it down and run the offense. as far as blame, fingers can be pointed, either at rudy, steve, cat, anyone. i'm not writing to blame anyone, i just wish that steve and cat (and moochie) would accelerate through their learning process and realize that EVERY POSSESION COUNTS in the last minutes of a close game. taking the ball to the hole and jumping into three seven footers and not thinking of a backup plan as you jump into them (other than desperately looking for a foul) is a mental lapse. dribbling the ball too much when you could be passing the ball to the open man is a mental lapse. taking circus shots off the dribble with your man in your face is a mental lapse. i have full confidence that our guards will learn eventually, but i just wish they would learn now, b/c the sooner they do, the sky is the limit for the rockets!!

    Why?
"Chinese fans deserve to be as rightfully a Rockets fan as any Houstonions.
    "
Why Chinese should be a fan of Rockets? Because of Rockets' demanding?

I think a few people may be tossed after going through and reading this thread because they've been an embarrassment to this site.

Thank you to those who stuck to the topic and basketball.

To those who can't handle that -- do yourself a service and focus on the Rockets please. If you want respect on this board, it will be for the depth of your basketball takes, not because you outscreamed someone or dropped 5 more f-bombs than the previous guy. If this is not for you, I respectfully ask you to go elsewhere.

Also, if there is a controversial post, please use the "Report post to moderator" function underneath it.

    Thanks,
    Clutch

Steve might have mental lapse in the OT. Let's see, if that happens repeatly in the future, Rox will face a hard choice: how far we want to go.

And to answer you in a positive way: If you are a Yao Ming fan, you SHOULD be a Rockets fan, since the greatness of Yao Ming, his achievements can only be measured through the success of Rockets. Think of Jordan.

Some of you are really immature.

I might not totally agreed with bben212 but it's good he's making his point. We cannot always say it's a team loss and it's not always true. Sometimes the team loss because of individual plays and by individual players hold responsible for the lost. Some players on the Rockets did a good job against the Grizzlies and that makes it NOT the whole team's fault! It's like saying you also blame the loss also on a guy who have a perfect game? I'm glad Francis and MIng were men enough to come out and admits that it was partially their fault and what's went wrong. So blaming the whole team is wrong if it's not everyone was responsible!!

You're going to have to give people time to become a Rocket fan. I was a YAO fan and it took me awhile before I become a Rocket fan. I didn't like some of the Rockets' players and their play at the beginning but now I see they might have something going.

No one plays a perfect game, even Jordan in his prime is not perfect. GOB stands for God of Basketball if you can't figure it out. If you can't figure out my arguement, I will spell out loudlt for you--certainly no one on the Rockets team last night played a perfect game, so what's your point. if you insist on use your language, here's a post you may overlook and I quote:
