Hong Kong police arrest 10-year-old boy for kicking opponent in the face during match

Yeah, looking at it again, it does look intentional, especially as the kid stands over him after the deed is done.

Is the guy running in with the clip board the father of the kid that did the kicking?

We are currently coaching my 9 year olds team, and if anyone did that on our team he would sit for a long time.

Ok, looking again, I think it was an accident, as the kid goes to kick the ball, the young man on the ground tips the ball a bit and redirects it, the kid that was attempting to kick it sweeps right through where the ball was before it was tipped towards the center and he probably expected to kick the ball and it was not there so his foot followed through to the face.

Final answer - unintentional....and the kid that fell on the turf was unlucky.....he needs better balance.

10 year olds playing organized ball don't miss that badly. He did it intentionally.

 

You can tell by his immediate reaction it was intentional. If i kick a dude in the face by accident i'm not acting like that.

I don't know about cops, but the kid needs some kind of whipping.

 

yes cuz they're kids..

EDIT: Having watched the video directly below this post, I'm certainly more inclined to think this was intentional, but I'll leave my original thoughts below.

Upon further inspection, it looks unintentional. If you watch the slow motion replay, it looks like the kid on the ground nudged the ball at the last second, causing the kicker to whiff. You can also see a brief moment where the kicker started to go check on the kid, but gets interrupted by an opponent.

Either way, it's dumb for the video to tell us where the kid is looking. There is obviously no way to tell. They're setting you up to see what they want you to see.

Look at all those fouls.....this was an egregious hatchet job by their coach, he coached those kids to do that.....horrible, simply horrible.

Wow, that video was terrible. I would beat the **** out of the coach if that happened to my kids.

 

I am not surprised you support this type of behavior... something tells me that you coach like the Cobra Kai...

This is the longer video in which shows that the BLUE/PURPLE/BLACK team with bad players were frustrated at being put on as a CLINIC and gotten a clear FOOTBALL whipping from the WHITE/BLACK team... so they resorted to dirty tactics...

CLEARLY intentional. The swipe at the ball is clearly BEYOND where the ball would have been. Watch the entire video. Judge for yourself again.

The game was a rematch of a previous whipping by the WHITE team. Apparently the PURPLE team doesn't know how to lose to a good team.

 

Why would you beat the coach? I think if the kid did it intentionally, he needs to sit in some kid prison for a day or so and think about it.
