Is it true that the NBA opened voting to everybody including international countries through NBA.com? That would be great to see Yao Ming as an all star his first year. Any thoughts?

    No.
I think Ming's all star ballot is no more than Ming's all star threads.

lets take a look at the west.

    proboble starters:
    shaq
    duncan
    garnett
    kobe
    steve

    bench:
    payton
    nash
    finley
    dirk
    brand

i think last two spots will be either yao, marbury, marion, lewis, sheed.

he stands a very good chance because this team is already loaded with guards and swingmen. marbury marion and lewis will have a tough time making it.

I'd say the last two go to Marion and Yao Ming. Of course, if there are injuries, it will be even more probable that he gets in...

I think Yao is gonna get the start due to fan voting....he may end up with most votes of any player in the league this year.

You forgot someone ......Chris Webber. :D

Also, Olowokandi will get alot of consideration as the backup center if he continues the good #s and Yao levels off.

you're right. how could i forget him? ok so there is one spot left and i cant see the clipps having 2 all-stars (i dont think anyone can) i dont like to count on injuries but yao may be able to sneak in this year.

Kandiman should never be an All-Star. Overrated and Clipper is almost synonymous these days...
