Let's see... Grizzlies suck suck suck on D... so so on O..... Rox have this one.

With the Rox's D of late (and even their O) it should be a cakewalk. Francis tears up the court, Mobley puts up respectable numbers (bout 20 points), and Ming has a solid solid game with a double double and a coupla blocks. Griffin comes out and plays great defense and the threads about Jefferson vs Griffin will stop for a little while  , and Rice hits open threes all night long. :)

Hopefully the Rox will put up 100+ points tonite, but I'd be even more happy if they keep the Grizzlies to under 80 points. Rox won't let us down.

I don't know how great Gasol and Gooden are but they have the 2nd worst record in the league...it doesn't seem like their frontcourt is dominating ANYTHING but the western conference cellar.
Gasol was ROY last year but his play has dropped off lately. Gooden was incredible in the summer league, but so was EG. Gooden's play is great for a rookie, but how great is he if he's teamed up with last year's ROY, he's getting 30 mpg, and they are still in the NBA cellar. I think all these big numbers they are getting is because of the bad team they play on...to say Gasol and Gooden are a dominant frontcourt is like saying the Clippers have a dominant backcourt with Miller and Richardson...homerism to the extreme.
Also, Wright is obviously their savior. They call him "Ren", and most of the grizz fans are thinking he's going to shut down Yao with his "Brawn and Brains". Wright was with the Clippers and the Hawks before he came to the Grizz. I guess the Grizz see something in him that his previous teams didn't.

There will be no letdown tonight. Obviously on any given night something can happen but it will not be because of a letdown. We as a team have ways to mitigate against something like that. We have some very able players who are hungry for some minutes. MoT, Boki, Hawk and Tmo will have no part of a letdown.

the Rox did pretty defense recently. and they will want to make the team deeper and let more people play. (I mean face to weak teams like Grizzlies. Still remember how rox did while against Cav?)

I agree GP, the Rox won't let us down...with our continued defensive strength I see Rox 92 Grizz 75.

It's strange. I get the feeling we'll win with ease. But it's like there's a whisper that says we ain't.

What could possibly happen? No one can stop Ming on that team, and J-Will, AT BEST, can match Francis. Mobley will light it up, and KT can stick it to a, from what I've seen, defense-less Gooden. Even Griffin can have a good game. At the 3, they have Battier. There may be a problem there, but if Rice can hit some early shots, then....

    I don't know. I feel it's going to be a game like

"Lorenzen Wright blows up for 35pts, 19rebs, 7blocks against #1 pick"..

    or

"Brevin Knight makes his case with 22pts, 22assists"

You know....when barely decent players go off for career nights... Like Tony Delk's 50-pt game.....

This one will be interesting...I think it will be closer than everyone thinks. I can see the Rockets falling behind early and then have to play catchup the rest of the game, but luckily we have Stevie and Yao and they will pull it together in the 4th qtr. Rockets win 94-88

At least its it will be interesting to see if the rockets will blow them out, which they are capable of doing, or will they just fall over and let them run all over them( laid back behavior). I think its gonna be a 20+ victory, only because they have showed me that they have matured, and those defeats to loosing teams will end with tonights win. NEW WORLD ORDER, IN YAO MING AND FRANCIS

For some reason, I can't wait for this game to start... more so then the Kings/Rockets game. I think it's cuz we'll see how the two top rookies match up even though they play different positions. We'll get a glimpse of who's really deserves to be ROY. It's going to be fun.

The Rocks are notorious for losing these kinda games. Believe it or not I think this game is more of a provin ground than the Sacramento game was. No doubt the Sacramento game had more importance, but the Rocks need to show they can beat the good teams and DESTROY the bad ones.....I think the Rocks will show that tonight and annihalate the Grizzlies......when I say annihalate I mean is beat em by more than ten. Here are the match-ups to watch:

    J-Will vs. Franchise:
The only real intriguing matchup in this game. Stevie should dominate like he did in Sacramento as long as he doesnt try to show up J-Will w/ flashy moves. J-Will is fancy but can also be erratic w/ the ball. No doubt, he'll have a decent game like he always does against us. Francis needs to show that he can be disciplined and can be the leader of this team tonight and not try to "out-flash" J. Good Match-up.

    Yao vs. The Grizzlies:
I dunno who they have that can stop Yao. In fact I know they dont have anyone who can stop Yao....kinda one-sided here......Maybe we'll see Yao against Drew Gooden. wonder whos gonna win that match-up?? ;)

Mobley should have a nice game tonight and has been playin especially well lately.....also watch the 3-point contest between Rice and Person....they gonna be flyin tonight!!
Anyway, I call this game all Rockets.....

    Rocks 95
    Grizzlies 81

IF you are using some IE in some public computer, try to switch to Netscape.
    vice versa.
