Parsons is so good on defense and his offense is coming along.

If Morris was a "GO TO" guy it would make sense to start him, but he isn't, and Parsons is just better.

With a guy like Lowry, I was willing to be patient on his 3pt shot coming around.

But come on, Parsons, these are freaking FREE THROWS. You are shooting them crappier than the average human being on this Earth. And you do this for a job! Your name isn't Shaq; you can't make up for this fatal flaw with the other parts of your game.

If Parsons isn't shooting 65% by next season, he cannot start for us. I don't care what else he provides. Next player. (FYI he averaged 61% in college which isn't great but also is much better than his current rate. Only one season over 65%.)

Is either better than the Leonard kid we passed on, that the Spurs nabbed, or did we make a mistake?

Of course its too early, but regardless, Chandler is a guy that need to be a Rocket for a very long time. He is already my favorite Rocket behind Scola.

Parsons is way more versatile, bigger and fits his position better.

They are both rookies .... Yet you only state one will get better. Parsons has improved week by week thru-out the season .... Whats Morris done to show you he's improved other than light up the DL?

I'd wager Parsons has a higher ceiling than Morris simply because he's already a superior player and has the potential to vastly improve his shooting / scoring with a bit of offseason work.

Defense - Parsons by a mile.
Court awareness - Parsons in a landslide.
Passing - Parsons by leaps and bounds.
Ball handling - Parsons , show me another 6'10" guy who can split double teams from the perimeter.
    Shooting - Morris , maybe ?

One thing besides shooting I'd like to see Parsons work on is a post game , his size can create a lot of mismatches at the SF spot and having a post game would allow the team to better exploit those mismatches.

as it is now, Parsons, but it's not fair to judge Morris now, he's younger and played less

I think Morris was drafted for that small (5-10%) chance that he could be a superstar.

What I want to know is if Chandler Parsons could potentially switch to the 2. I believe he has the offensive skill set to do so, he can handle the rock, is a solid passer, and in time, and we've all seen him guard 2's. If that's the case, then if Lee leaves and we trade martin, I'd love to see him play at the 2 and Marcus at the 3. we'd have a freaking gigantic team, and we'd have the cap space to sign Dragic, who's been playing out of his mind.

    this.

Parsons has earned his current spot, but ideally I'd like to see Morris reach his ceiling.

Morris needs more games so that we can evaluate him properly in his role for this team, doesn't make sense to ask now when Parson has been really good and Morris only played a few games.

I wouldnt disagree with this - Low risk , high reward should it work out.

Just no telling what the timeline on that development or lack of is .... and with him playing behind Parsons who is a very complete player , we may never find out.

I'd bank on Parsons improving offensively more than Morris becoming a stud.

    This.

Been wondering myself if he could be a Doug Cristie clone at the 2 if he could get his shooting going. He's about the best sized player to put on guys like Wade and Kobe to bother them.
