Adrian Dantley should not be forgotten and would be in the top 10. If we are talking true height.

    Tiny was awesome.

You guys have some high hopes for Francis. I like it.

    But they are really high.

    That's a joke right?

Just one more name to throw around...
    Kevin Johnson

Steve Francis has done nothing so far to be even close to #4. He never even lead his team to the playoffs so far.

I will have to say John Stockton...
and isiah thomas would be a close second because of the championships he won.

But if you are 60 and still playing in the NBA, and you are not 8 feet tall... plus you get the other players respect even though you haven't change your short since the 80's... you've got to be the best.

He'll need more than 9000 assist.

    Stockton and Isiah do.

ahh, but by the end of his career he can move past both in scoring and rebounding. all that matters though is the rings. if he gets one he will move past stockton right? then we start talking about isiah. with ming in the middle i think steve might get some rings to brag about.

I don't know if you guys realize how good Isaiah, Stockton, KJ(For that very brief period), and Jerry West were. When I first posted here, I didn't either. I thought that the Francis to Thomas comparisons were ridiculous. No way that Zeke could hold Francis!

If Steve even approaches this level(I think in the end that the Thomas comparisons will actually be pretty good, though Steve will have to up his assist numbers to make the comparison valid to most), he will enter the hall of fame, have his number retired, and become one of the 75 greatest(I think they will expand the list on the league's 75th anniversary).

I'd rather Steve sacrafice his scoring in exchange for more assist.

Everyone on this board that leaves off Allen Iverson has some thinking to do. He has led the league in scoring 3 times. Led in steals several times. Rookie of the Year. MVP. NBA Finals appearance in 5th year. And yet... many of you have Steve Francis, who at this point in his career hasnt done half AI has done... ahead of him. Cmon guys....give the guy his due.

    1. Stockton
    2. West
    3. Iverson
    4. Arhiibald

Good point about AI. However you don't have Thomas in the top 4::confused:

IF you consider West is 6'3" or under (you have him on list at all)--there is no way in hell he isn't the best of this group. The guy has like a plus 30 playoff[i/] scoring average and solid numbers in everything else as well (APG, RPG, no telling about steals because they weren't logged). There is no comparison with West to Stockton, West to AI or even West to Zeke in terms of greatness, West is the only one of these guys who is one of the 10, 15, best players to ever play, period. The argument after him would be for the 2nd slot--AI might get there, but IMO it is Zeke now, than maybe Stockton after him.

Now if you don't consider West 6'3" and under you just leave him out of the debate. But you can't include him in such a list, then not have him #1.
