    Adrian Wojnarowski ‏ @WojYahooNBA
[rQUOTEr]Patty Mills is finalizing a deal with the San Antonio Spurs, league sources tell Y! Sports. Portland's renouncing of rights is in the works.

Mills, the Aussie point guard, played the season in China and has been cleared to return to NBA. Deal should be completed in next 24 hours.[/rQUOTEr]

    Sam Amick ‏ @sam_amick
[rquoter]Source confirms @WojYahooNBA report that Patty Mills will join San Antonio. Two- year deal. Mills was playing in China.

Mills gets a player option in the second year, worth approximately $1 million. Portland renounced rights.[/rquoter]

    Sorry Houston

Morey should have asked for those rights in the Camby trade. Fortson is terrible.

Did you ever see him in Portland? He is quite obviously an NBA-level backup PG. He is definitely better than Flynn, and arguably better than fisher (at this point in his career). He is by far better than Fortson, (by looking at the videos).

SA doesn't have a backup PG. Houston will have no minutes for the PG once Lowry returns. Why would Mills want to play here?

Fortson is here for 10 days.. maybe more but he is not a long term prospect.

I watched Patty Mills extensively in Portland. If he isn't shooting the ball and hitting, he is horrendous. Not a good passer and one of the sorriest defenders in the NBA at any position (but I'll give him credit for trying)

Your saying he's better than Fisher and Flynn proves my point. Faint praise is actually a negative. He will not be missed here.

Maybe Pop can work a miracle with him like Danny Green. But with TP and Gary Neal, Mills probably won't see the floor often.
