I was in a music download mood today and started searching for some 80's hair band (my 70's funk is complete) music.

    Here's some classics I've found:

    Winger: Seventeen and Down Incognito
    RATT: Lay It Down
Warrent: Cherry Pie and Down Boys
Night Ranger: Don't Tell Me You Love Me

Who am I missing? I don't want any Motley Crue, Poison, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Def Leppard (I already have their stuff), Whitesnake. Does that leave any groups left?

I am sure there are others but I can't think right now.

TheFreak will tell you who you are missing.

Is Journey considered a "hair" band?

If so, Id think theyd be one of the favorites.

There i was, fingers poised above my keypad, mental word assosciation function for "80's", "hair" amd "band" automatically spitting out the emphatic result of Flock of Seagulls when, to my dismay, I read the post accompanying the headline...sigh...I don't know...sometimes it isn't even worth getting up in the mornimg....

I couldn't stand Don Dokken, but the band Dokken had some jammin tunes.

Also Tesla had some pretty good stuff.

Firehouse - "Don't Treat Me Bad", "Love of a Lifetime"
    White Lion - "Wait"
KISS - "Heaven's on Fire", "Lick it Up"
Steelheart - "I'll Never Let You Go"
Bullet Boys - "Smooth Up in Ya"
LA Guns - "Ballad of Jayne"
    Extreme
    Damn Yankees
    Danger Danger
    Saigon Kick
    Kix
    Autograph
    Mr. Big
    Stryper

Some of those aren't really hair bands.

Download the song "American Hair Band" by Tuff...they name pretty much every hair band that ever existed in that song:

"Guns -n- Roses, Motley Crue, give Eddie Vedder a big **** you"

How about Triumph--the other trio from Canada? At least I think they're from Canada.

Almost everything those bands were doing in the 80's, KISS had already done in the 70's. If I had to pick a band that I was into that was purely 80's, I guess I'd vote Crue.

EZN is an amazing band. They are still making great Beatles-inspired power pop records to this day.
