Rockets sure love to hold onto their injury plagued stars.

We have two guys that are probably leaving. Lee and Dragic. Probably the two most valuable guys on this roster too. Why cant Morey combine those two plus Scola into something real good like a high first round pick or real good player? It seems like it would be possible and it also seems like Morey is unwilling to bring down his high value on our players to do it.

Morey said in a radio interview a couple months ago that he "didn't understand why everyone is holding onto their players until the deadline" rather than making trades earlier in the season. This was likely in reference to the Kaman situation. However, I don't think Morey is holding off on deals just so he can wait until the last minute as a matter of principle. Teams just haven't reached agreement on a deal yet (or at least not one that has been reported yet).

Sorry to say this guys but Morey isn't gonna do anything. He puts a high premium on his players, when they clearly are not worth the price.

I don't want to sound like a broken record. But if we had kept Lin, we wouldn't have to worry about the Lowry-Dragic logjam now. Lin would been a competent and cheap backup. We could ship out either Lowry or Dragic.

No, but Lowry is the closest thing we got.

Yeh - except Portland have stated their intention to build the team around those guys.

He picked up the infection in the hospital after having exploratory surgery on his hip.

Yup, Morey clearly has a track record of being ill-prepared.

You want to criticize DM and his team for some of their moves or non-moves, go right ahead. But there's little reason to think they are not actively considering the consequences of non-moves.

How about Dally and Hill for Okafor and N.O. lottery pick? Then Lowry/Scola/TWill for Gasol. Then Martin for expirings and another first round pick.

    Dragic/Lee/whoever
    Lee/Bud
    Parsons/Morris
    Camby/Okafor/Smith
    Gasol/Patterson

we keep our guys around because morey doesn't wanna tank.. or les doesn't.. tankins isn't the answer according to them… staying at 40 wins every year and drsfting at #14 is the answer!
