Just stalling, unfortunately its for another whole year.

He cooled peoples tempers for now, but if he leaves next year they will be just as mad. If he signs another deal, good for him!

What difference does a year make? They'll probably trade him this summer. No one really loses anything. He probably wants to go to the playoffs rather than finish the season losing with the Nets. No big deal, just a lot of wasted posts and articles.

I believe everything he said. But I think he'll regret it again next year if Orlando doesn't make any major upgrades and then more drama...

Tempting the Magic through the last second in hopes they don't trade him. That way the Nets don't give anything up for him. Then he has a full team to go to in the summer.

    1. They won't trade him this summer
    2. No franchise-type player has waived his ETO ever
    3. The Magic will still hover inbetween mediocrity and contender status perpetually
    4. When Howard doesn't resign Magic fans will get butthurt again
    5. NBA fans will b!tch and whine about superstars' loyalty to franchises and fan bases, superfriends etc
    6. We will go through the same thing next year
    7. Howard wasted one year of his and everybody's time

The winners out of all of this?

Mark Cuban and the Mavericks. They now have a real shot at bringing Deron Williams home to Dallas this summer.

Maybe, having had a taste of this BS, Orlando will trade him today, and just be done with him? Maybe this is for the Lakers, to give them an extra year to do whatever... Or for us to do same?

Even though it would have probably been nice to have him in Rockets Red, I like that decision. After all the drama recently, I was starting to lose a lot of respect for Dwight, but he earned some of it back right here.

... Although some people have brought up a couple fairly decent points. Maybe this doesn't mean much. The optimist in me wants to believe he'll stay with the Magic, though.

He is a diva but the Magic aren't a bad team. They have had there bursts and will not do bad in the playoffs. Who knows what the Magic will do in the off-season-next year to upgrade. They have done some nice change ups in the last couple of years but none have had too much effect.
