Flynn actually looked competent last game.

I agree with this. He did take a couple of boneheaded shots but he was wide open (any shot is a boneheaded shot for Flynn).

I liked how he was passing and getting the hell out of the way.

Not a trade rumor, but probably not thread worthy either:

You know, I was going to say that James Anderson was a recent miss, considering the Spurs didn't even deign to pick up his 3rd year option, but looking at the rest of the 2010 draft, it's amazingly slim pickings. Honestly goes to show how overstated pre-draft perceptions are about depth: while 2010 was supposed to be this crazy deep draft pool, and 2011 was one of the weakest drafts in history, they're proving to be very comparable, particularly if Valanciunas is good.

But I wouldn't be too worried; for every Danny Green/Gary Neal the Spurs pick up on, they churn through dozens of fringer NBAers; ironically, much like the Rockets.

I know you're kidding, and Lord know's I've dished out a jab or 2 on him, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him "doing ok" in a year or 2 if given some playing time. I think we're starting to see some of the reason he was drafted high. Still way too high but I think there something in there somewhere.

How did he survive his rookie season of 13.6 points without being competent?... He can't shoot but he was not considered a BUST in his rookie season.

He wasn't worth the 6th pick either.

The issue was his injury, he still have the same mentality as preinjury and his body just can't do the same things anymore.

I have a feeling he won't be in the league for more than 2 seasons.
