If it came as aprt of a struggle over Zimmerman's gun. it sure did. At any rate, you are arguing something not in evidence.

    Some new information.

I just don't understand how defending yourself against a man who comes at you with a gun in the middle of the night isn't self defense? Seems to me like it was Trayvon who was standing his ground.

If Martin knew about the gun, that likely means Zimmerman threatened him with the gun. At this point Martin must feel his life is in imminent danger, so he defends himself, which causes Zimmerman to defend him himself. It all makes so much sense now.

We can only wait for an armed robber of a convenient store to claim self-defense when he kills the cashier. Do you know easily that cashier could have grabbed some skittles? Ten? Twenty? Dude had no choice.

I don't know all the facts, but clearly, Trayvon was a very brave young man because we was willing to fight back against an armed assailant who was at least 100 pounds bigger than him.

Once again you are assuming things that are not known.

No Shiite Sherlock. There isn't ANY real evidence to look at since nobody is releasing anything and the shooter has gone AWOL. As facts trickle out into the media by law enforcement and witnesses, we are starting to see the bigger picture.

Things just keep getting worse for the Sanford Police Department.

We're still really only hearing one side of this. I guess in your hate filled world white folks are not allowed the presumption of innocence.

You are assuming that Trayvon did not start the contact, and that Trayvon knew that Zimmerman had a weapon.... a lot of of assumptions all the way around. Lets see how this unfolds.

Would you be open to the possibility that Zimmerman is actually guilty?

    he could be guilty

I haven't seen facts that prove that, however.

I've been requesting more facts the entire thread.

Once I have the facts, I make decisions based upon those facts and logic.

What's in evidence is that he approached a teen he didnt know. He tailed a kid he didnt know, at night and expects the kid to not be suspicious of him. Pedophile maybe? He then confronts the kid. If they struggled over a gun then that means Zimmerman pulled it out on him. In fact sounds like this kid was defending himself against an aggressor who ended up having a gun

Thank you for posting that. Many people misunderstand the "stand your ground" law. It doesn't mean that you can use deadly force just because you feel you are threatened.

No, you were assuming things that were unknown, and I was trying to clarify your assumptions with you.

    Facts:

Kid is walking home from 7/11 where he purchase tea and skittles, leaves store, walks towards home
Man saw black kid in hoody, walking in his neighborhood at night in the rain
    Man calls police
    Man told not to pursue
Man follows kid because "they always" get away
Man gets out of his vehicle with his gun to continue the pursuit
Man and kid get in fight
Man shoots and kills unarmed kid

    According to the Man:
Kid asked why he was being followed
Says he followed to keep kid to find address (in his own neighborhood), and keep him in sight.

I can only believe the man wouldn't lie to harm himself, so everything he says is either true or a lie. Taking his words at the truth, I think he is guilty of manslaughter. If he lying he is guilty of murder.

This is a key piece of evidence because if Martin was the one that called for help that would clearly establish that Zimmerman had started the altercation and cannot claim self-defense. From what we know already Zimmerman already precipitated the confrontation but the question is who essentially who threw the first punch.
