So Rubio is out. Steve Nash dat ho. Who would fill in the hole at point even better? Who could later mentor and play alongside Rubio next season? Positives- Nash wins games, goes to playoffs, helps out Rubio, gets reduced minutes (as a friendly gesture, he gets rest for the playoffs) Negative- What's it going to take for Phoenix to part ways? Thoughts?
Minnesota with or without Nash is still not a championship contending team. Which I think is the idea behind Nash leaving.
Suns are right behind us in the standings and one of the hottest teams now winning 7 of their last 9 with recent wins over the T'Wolves, Grizzlies, Mavs, Clippers. They're not trading him. How he's averaging the most assists with that crew is crazy.
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6142623&postcount=1 Didn't the OP say that he would quit watching basketball?
really no point in that. IF he does get traded, then it should be to a possible contender such as the Lakers who need an upgrade at pg. plus minny is our competition this year for a playoff spot. screw them and the dirtiest player in the game K Love
I actually really like this idea. Steve Nash would be the closest type of player who could fulfil the role Rubio had on the team. The glaring problem is how they would trade for him. Who would Minnesota trade to match Nash's 10 million or so contract?

Best place for Nash is the Lakers. Pick and roll all day with Bynum and Gasol, AND Kobe is on your team, so there's little to no pressure on Nash. Nash doesn't play defense? His man beats him into the land, Bynum and Gasol are there to deter further penetration.
I'm not interested if I'm Minnesota. Trading for him might make them a better team this year, but they certainly aren't title contenders with him. The cost of trading for him would be giving up some of the building blocks they have. Minnesota is set up pretty well for the future. I don't think having Nash for the next year or two is worth breaking up some of their foundation.
