Cato, though not a great offensive threat can do one thing, block shots. Now he just has to get a little more confidence. This team will thrive on shot blockers. Now, Cato must prove himself. Shot blocks will spark fast breaks. And if Cato can also comit himself to Rebounding, the fast break would only improve so much more.

Taylor is not a great rebounder. But one thing is for certain he does have an offensive touch and can take his game outside, break down the defense, and can give this team a lot of options. One thing is for certain, Taylor will not clogg up the lane!!!! But Anderson, Francis, and Williams will help out with the Rebounding.

Williams came out of college with Shaq, Lattner, Mourning, and was selected 7th in that draft. He displayed a great game short of all-star potential, but almost a certain perennial all-star. Something happened along the way be it injuries or loss of ability. But one thing is for certain, Williams played with fire at the end of the season. The question posed is, was the end of this past season a fluke, or were the years in portland and early part of rocket season a fluke. Well, Williams definatley looked to regain his confidence at the end of the year, but will it hold!!!!!

Anderson is what every team with offensive players need. An unselfish player who dosen't care about statistics. A player who gets the toughest defensive task game after game and that is always the deciding factor in games when you have a team that can score. Plus, Anderson is the type of guy who can always surprise and ring up 20 pts. out of the blue. Solid.

Francis can do it all. It is ridiculous to even justify this.

Mobley is Mr. point per minute. Game after game last season Mobley would equal his point per minutes played. Mobley can score and there is no doubt about it. This year he will win the 6th man in the NBA.

Hakeem is a player who can surprise and should thrive when playing with Norris when substituting at PG. But early on it will be know if Hakeem still has game. He is healthy and has been practicing. The mind is willing, but will the body follow. Cross your fingers!!!

Langi and Bullard give you the outside shot at pin point accuracy. Langi goes one up on Bullard by being able to put the ball on the floor.

And then you have Kenny Thomas whom many people had as one of the top 10 players from last years lottery. Kenny has game and will thrive in the backup position. Kenny could some day be a starter, but as of now, his best bet to help a team go to the other level is being a SOLID backup.

Miller, Collier, Rogers, and Drew round out the 15 man roster. And all of these players can do something special for the Rockets.

The Taylor signing was a huge break for Collier in that it takes so much pressure of Collier to come in and produce. Collier is now in a position to be grooved into a good NBA player. He already has a good shot and can play the game. But he needs to bulk up a little and learn to play with that extra bulk.

Only time will tell if we can trade Rogers and Drew.

TRADE RODGERS???...NO WAY....trade KT and Drew for Brad Miller and a pick in next years draft (let the excpection expire). Rodgers will be a perfect back up for mo-tay!

BTW...great post i agree with everything...well...almost everything [IMG]

Now the controversy should shift to who's better Rogers or Kenny Thomas.

I think Thomas is a better players.

But Rogers looks ideal for this team with the athleticism.

You may be onto something about packaging Thomas and Drew.

But don't forget Kenny Thomas does have a good shot. So, either way you look at it, this is tough deciding who is better.

What the heck keep 'em both!!!!!

I don't see how you can shift from grim to good just because of the Mo signing.

Did someone wake up on the optimistic side of the bed this morning?

Well, vince's contention all along was that the Rockets wouldn't do well if they didn't make a move. Now they made a move... so of course, he's ecstatic. What's to understand? [IMG]

I'm really worried bout Kenny Thomas and his role with us. He's the same age as Taylor, and as Vince said, he has the potential to be a decent starter... if he can be a decent starter, he would be damn good off the bench.

But how will we find minutes for him? HOw many minutes will Taylor want? And Rogaz deserves some minutes also... how do we use him?

So....if the Rockets had resigned Devean Gray, we'd be playoff locks?

The ROX are deep in every position now! They are like the Blazers but with more potential and definitely younger.

This team provided that the chemistry and consistency is there, must challenge for the division crown. Sure the Twin Towers and the Jazzholes are still there but 1 to 12 I think we got them beat badly.

    Rockets are moving on up!

Maybe it's safer said that 1-3 and 6-12 the Rockets have the Spurs beat badly. [IMG]

As far as the Jazz, I think 1-3 and 5-12 should place the Rockets ahead on that battle of chemistry.
