Just when i thought we were getting there, the Lakers do the UNTHINKABE and sign JR RIDER......We won't be winning for a few years now.....Phoenix had the backcourt show....We were gonna have it....LA stole it......Smart move........................If ur asking what this has to do with the forum, well it means it's gona be quite impossible to beat the lakers now......

If LA, LA land wants that head case let them have him. They are already the champs., why ad a distraction like that. The guys game is without question, but "that boy just ain't right"-greater tuna.

    Two words:

    N B A D I S H!

And Rider isn´t the second coming of Michael Jordan.

He will NEVER be able to co-exist with Shaq and Kobe.

Now delete this thread and move it to Nba dish!

    No way buddy
I have no idea what were they thinking over there.
Kobe will not play PG ,why do u think they traded Eddie Jones 2 years ago ?
Kobe might be the best 2nd gueard (not called Iverson) and Rider is a pure SG too.
and since I can't see how Rider will agree to come of the bench I predict a 2nd Rodman case.

but...if Phil somehow manage to control the ego of Kobe and Rider ,and make them play together..oh well I don't wanna see it
when he plays like he knows ,Rider is one of the top 5 SG
    time will tell I guess.

Phil can take care of his ego.....trust me, they know what they're doing....Kobe will play the 1 or maybe even the three....dfepending on what they get for Rice.......The guy's got game, and i can bet my life he co-exists, does exactly what he's told to do, and is their x-factor......trust me, he's learned his lesson after being waived.....sort of like MO, he's playing for a one year exception....Besides, have u seen how quiet Shaq has become?? He's becoming really Calm in personality, sorta like Olajuwan.....Too bad, well, at least the Blazers won't win it...........
Oh, and about the Eddie Jones thing, i recall Shaq saying "I wish we hadn't traded Eddie".......and another thing is nothing happens in LA without Shaq's approval, so he must've agreed to this......

I just had an idea, maybe they did this JUST so Miami wouldn't sign him?

I personally am thrilled the Lakers got Rider, as now I think Portland and SA (at least in my opinion) have really taken a giant leap ahead of the Lakers. Rider is a headcase. You said the Lakers know what they're doing, but I'm sorry- I don't buy that excuse. They had Dennis Rodman, and now they have the second coming of him. Rider will miss plane flights, dsirupt team chemistry, whine when he isn't given the ball, and be a total ballhog on offense. This is absolutely a TERRIBLE move by the Lakers.

BS. Rider has had so many things happen to him in the past in terms of disciplinary actions from his team, the police, etc. A non-playoff team waiving him is not guaranteed to do him any good, and I seriously doubt it will. The guy is a headcase.

People with Rider on their team's have said this for YEARS. But it's never work, and just because one terrible team released him isn't going to do a bit of good if you ask me. If you read my post in the NBAdish forum, I hate the Lakers with an absolute passion. And let me tell you, I am thrilled that they made this move. If you ask me SA and Portland just took a major step up in the Western Conference.

The Mouse Police say move to the "NBA Dish" forum if you want to discuss the Lakers.

Besides, there's already a thread in there about this very topic.

Just for the sake of piling on...

You're a day late and a forum short.

    I've said enough.
