At the risk of pushing someone over the edge with yet one more Mo Taylor related thread.... Here is an aspect of the deal I haven't seen talked about. Consider this. The Sonics tried to wheel and deal to be able to put Taylor on the court with: 1. A talented, scoring point guard 2. An aging center 3. An up and coming young small forward. The Rockets come in and are able to sign Taylor to put him on the court with: 1. 1. A talented, scoring point guard 2. An aging center 3. Ahhh...well two out of three ain't bad. In reality, though, the Rockets shooting guard position makes up for the lack of a SF like Lewis. If somehow Langhi turned out to be a very good player as an NBA SF it would be perfect. Besides, if he starts, Walt Williams should at least match Lewis' scoring output so the comparison is fairly close. The irony of it is enough to make an AntiSonic happy. If Seattle thought that such a lineup would improve their standings as a playoff team then I would say that the Rockets have definitely improved enough to make the playoffs next season. It's also going to be real interesting to watch the Rockets and Sonics play this year. (At least for those of you who have satellite that is. ) Francis vs Payton; Taylor vs Baker; Lewis vs Houston. ------------------
I think it's gonna be real interesting to watch us play the Clippers this year. Anyone think Mo might have a little revenge factor going for him? ------------------ Save our children from the TAAS test: TAAS test report card TAAS test fact sheet Dog lover here....cats beware.
Good point- I see this team, if a bit more disciplined, as better than the Sonics, no matter hwo many pounds VIn has lost. I put it as good as the Kings also, but I think cracking the top 6 may be very hard this year. ------------------ Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women!
Ohh yeah, I know Mo Taylor wants to go wild on the clippers when they meet. Expect some big boos from the crowd. Maybe some tomatoes on the floor as well. ------------------ "I talked about what degenerates they [Mets fans] were, and they proved me right. I think if we stay healthy we can compete for the fourth slot. I'll be suprised if the Jazz play up to their customary level of basketball. I also think the Suns are going to waver a bit this season. I could be wrong, of course, but that's the way I see it. And, who knows, a couple of timely injuries to teams like SA or LA..... ------------------ "Have I not here the best cards in the game to win this easy match played for a crown?....." Playoff reality (barring major injuries): Tier 1: Faker$, FailBlazers, Spurs Tier 2: T-Wolves, Suns Tier 2.5: Jazz (no Hornacek) Tier 3: Kings, Sonics, Mavs, and Rockets Tier 3.5: Nuggets (they do have McDyess and Van X & are capable of getting on a roll) Tier 3 will be a highly contested battle for playoff spots 7 & 8. (Rocks & Mavs?). Good trivia question - when was the last time ALL 3 Texas teams made the playoffs in the same year? ------------------ GATER

You might find a way to watch ALL of the Rocks games for free...HECK...Every sports game for free. I'm not a jazz fan or anything, but i think you guys are jumping way ahead and condemning those guys to lose, when we all know they are going to be third or fourth once again this year. they lost hornacek, but they gained stevenson, starks, marshall, and manning. starks is by himself better then hornacek. we are definitly not going to be ahead of these guys in the playoffs. the teams that made it last year that might not make it are kings and sonics. both have bonifide superstars in webber and payton, so it's definitly not going to be easy for us to squeze in, especially with the mavs and their crazy owner. we're definitly going to be in a battle for one of those last two spots. it's going to be an exciting year. ------------------ "When the mind is thinking, it is talking to itself." .... I think we might be able to outplay Sacramento for the eigth spot and if Hakeem is healthy and is a big contributor, I could see us sitting at the sixth spot at most. No doubt we will eventually climb past the Jazz, next year probably when Stockton retires.
DaDakota, Thanks for the idea but I can't help but see the contradiction between your post and your signature. Talk about irony. ------------------
