Definitely not trying to steal dream2franchise's thunder or anything. But I found it funny that he created his thread when at the same time I was considering something similar. I wanted to get continuous feedback from you guys improving the design in any way possible. (Trying to develop my branding skills ) Perhaps, if this becomes serious enough, dream2franchise and I can combine our work. And with the support of the Clutch and the Clutchfans community we can make a real push to the front office. So let me hear back from you guys. If it sucks, let me know if I should quit my day job.
The first 2 are ok... 2nd one the best of the lot. IMO. But I like our current logo better than any of these.
honestly, they aren't bad - but not impressive...they all look like old school throwbacks... nice novelty, but not really the pizazz needed to sell merch in todays markets... Use bolder more vibrant colors - lose the baby blues... Go bolder/thicker on the name and designs... sharper contrasts... jus some thoughts...
Only the first round, point of this is for me to get feedback from the fans and base my design on that. It's a way for me to develop a skill and at the same time do something for the team I love.
Not sure where you're getting baby blue from, I only see silver. In any case, silver needs to be dropped from our color scheme. The Rockets are ketchup and mustard, ******* it. There was nothing wrong with the championship logo, we messed with karma by switching unis after a title, and if we ever want to see another championship here, we should go back.
Wow! I really like these designs JunkYardDawg. Number 3 and 6 (both designs on the far right) really pop out at me. Ketchup and Mustard is a MUST. That color scheme is unique to the Rockets, so from a branding perspective I think that must be considered in any design. Of course, those colors also harken back to the days of yore when I personally fell in love with the Rockets... so maybe I'm biased. The idea of melding that color to fit inside a more modern design (old school meets new) is of course appealing. Stuff like this is what makes ClutchFans a great site. Great work (but don't quit your day job quite yet )

Could possibly be just be a monitor thing. I'm definitely a supporter of bringing back the championship logo but a modern version of it, much like the Warriors, 76ers, and Detroit have done.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. That was definitely the idea behind these. From pasts threads I felt like the majority wanted the old logo back and while voting for the 90s team I felt a little inspired. I'd really like to design a logo that is strong enough to gain the support of all you guys and worthy of an actual pitch to the organization. (btw This type of work is part of my day job ) I considered the colors of this era, actually.
Just create the Superman Logo with an H for Houston and then maybe D12 would be willing to come here! Honestly though I also prfer the old Ketchup & Mustard uni's, and maybe even shorter shorts. Not the short shorts from back in the day but somewhere in between.
