you guys must normally support losing sh*t teams and cannot relate to the rockets winning mentalities...minus last year we have been an elite NBA team for many many years..we are the rockets remember?

i f-ing love it and i love what RT and the org is doing..you cannot fault them for trying and the tank/pessimistic attitude straight up sucks...

i was at the game against phoenix when the rocks went down 3-1...everyone coming out of the summit sounded like you naysayers...look at what happened..

great fans counting us out before we even start the season? why do you even post here then...?

we will be a offensive team and fun to watch..i myself admit that we are not going to kick a$$ and take names but you what do you guys want? shaq for drew? aint gonna happen...

you all have already written off hakeem as a non factor... nothing..thats a shame..he's still alive the last i heard and if he can do SOME of the things he did in the past to me thats great..people are still going to have to respect him down low and he will have FEW 25 point games that i can assure you...he is the x factor here guys and nobody talks about him...has anyone heard how he is? whats his health situation?

Good attitude to have. I'm always a realist when it comes to the Rockets rather than a pessimist or optimist, but I am still a fan.

Generally speaking, I think there is a prevailing attitude among fans that it is easier to believe the worst so they aren't disappointed. But, as you pointed out with the Phoenix series (Choke City anyone?), things happen to prove you wrong when you least expect it.

Recently, I heard the story of the 1996 baseball/football referendum. One week before the actual referendum, the NO votes were 60% to 40%. NO ONE believed it would pass and it did, 51% to 49%. Richard Murray, the poly-sci professor at UH and resident pollster extrordinaire said that, outside of an all-out scandal (someone dying, crimes being committed, etc), he had never in his 50 years of experience seen an election make such a dramatic turnaround - local, state or national.

You just never know...
