What happened? For those of you who live in Houston, did they change the channels around?? That sucks, we can't order pay per view anymore or what. On the TV guide channel it says available on channel 500 and something on the digital channel. Do we have to order digital cable now?
TWC just added a couple or 3 channels in the basic line-up: 45? outdor ch 65? nat. geoch 77 shop msnbc ch they bumped th prev ch there to the digital cable it sounds like. hope this explains your concern.
i was watching sportscenter last night at about 12 30 am, and then all of a sudden, espn turned into tnn, which scared the **** out of me. i read on the preview channel that they were gonna be adding some channels, and moving nick to 43. all the channels were moved up one, I was watching some of the rockets game on 2, 3 and 81 i think? or was it 80, but knws was on three channels.
how much do you guys pay for cable with time warner?? i'm curious because i'm buying a new house...wanna know what i should expect.
http://www.twchouston.com/cable/packages.html I recommend the digital value package with 1 or 2 premium channels. Total price = $50 - $56
so with basic cable you can't order pay per view anymore. That Sux. You have to order digital cable just to get pay per view. Thanks for your help!!
well digital cable, DVR, premium channels, on demand channels. what can i say, i love to veg out in front of the TV. i just wish I could afford league pass on top of that to watch the rocks!
Max, DirecTv is cheaper than cable. http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/learn/PackageOverview.jsp Here is where you can get your dish (with installation) for $19.97 http://shop.store.yahoo.com/mini-dish/dirsyswitfre.html
Before tax. Yeah...it also goes out when it rains...you own the equipment so if it breaks, tough luck...there is no real customer service...there are tons of hidden fees...NO CHANNEL 51 (aka NO ROX!!!!) No thanks...I'll keep my cable.
They also removed Max,The Movie Channel,Spice Chanel. They are forcing everybody to move to digital if you want to watch any movies or sporting events. I hate Time Warner...... I think they still have 10 thousand mexican and religion channels
I have had 6 friends switch over from DirecTV because the total price was WAY higher than what they were quoted. Apparently there were fees that were unrelated to government charges/taxes. I can try to get hold of one of them to cxlarify...but they said the amount in monthly fees was $15-$20 a month over and above their programming cost...THEN there were taxes. They said it wound up being about the same as cable.
Actually it's comparable or less. I switched to cable after 3+ years of DirecTV service. I'm paying slightly less ($10-$15) for more cable channels and 2+ premium channels using cable. If I could only have my DTV on screen guide with my cable service, that would be sweet. and speaking of on screen guides... I was in New Orleans for the holiday and their COX cable on screen guide was way more cool than Houston Time Warner's. Houston's is so bulky with terrible fonts and New Orlean's is so sleek and sharp looking.
