Jason Kidd hard foul on Jeremy Lin

I love how they're like "Jeremy Lin is stronger than he looks". Really? He "looks" pretty strong to me, dude is 6'3" 200+ lbs, bigger than 85% of the PG's in the league, and is clearly in good shape.

 

Jason Kidd's hands are racist.

Luckily Lin knows how to Lin and just Linned it off.

 

If you listen hard enough, you can hear Cuban complaining that the refs blew the whistle.

We know Jason Kidd is sometimes a dirty player ... just like Derek Fisher.

 

Actually I'm waiting for someone here to say that Lin flopped there.

 

^^ That's a shame. I never had anything against Kidd. I wonder what happened in that game for Kidd to have to result to such a cheap shot.

 

He probably just got his fingers tangled in Lin's curly hair.

 

ROFL! Do you really think he got pulled down by his 1 inch long hair that was touched for a tenth of a second? If Kidd really was trying to pull him by his hair then the result would have been much worse. Lin got fouled hard going to the basket. Man up.

 

Wow, some people think Kidd is a dirty player? I wish our players would have a "no layup" rule. I'll take a team of Kidds before I take a team of Scolas (attitude wise).

Maybe it's just me but this just looks like business as usual for a defending champ on its home floor. Maybe they should've called a flagrant but that's it, I gaurentee you Kidd got decked a few times like that in his first couple seasons.

 

Hard foul not a flagrant. of course it'll look bad in slow motion. Crashing into JT makes it look even worse.

 

he went for the ball first, then the head, should that be a flagrant? If he went for the head right away then I know it's flagrant..not sure about this case.

 

looks like kidd originally went for the ball and when lin slid past him he grabbed his hair to keep him from making the shot!

if i was lin, i would shave my head after that game!

 

If grabbing someone's hair and pulling him down while he's going for a layup is "just a hard foul" I don't know what kind of play can be considered dirty or flagrant.

I know the Lin thing is overhyped, but some people here just want to shrug off anything that's in Lin's favor.

For me the flagrant was obviously the forearm shot to Lin's head. Maybe it's just my hatred for the Mavs and we know how they like to get in their cheap shots against our players. This is why i cant just agree that it is a hard foul only even if it's Jason Kidd. Jason Kidd to me is like Derek Fisher in term of how ppl perceive them as class act, but in reality they dish out some dirty shots from time to time.

 

man, what a p***y move by Kidd. I know that is a fast and unexpected thing for a referee to anticipate ever happening in a game, but I wish the league would at least do post-game reviews for p***y-ass crap like that and access a flagrant to the player's season total.

I'd even be happy if a reporter would ask the hard question in post-game interviews:

Reporter: "So, Kidd, why be a sissy girl and pull Lin down by his air just because he blew past you."
Kidd: "No I didn't."
Reporter: "Well, everyone take a look at my iPad here. Kidd definitely pulls Lin's hair."
