    Dream did have his "no-look" passes at times. I used to remember him doing a few of those "behind-his-back, no-look" passes from the low post to the backdoor cutting Othella Harrington, etc. Yao is more of the, team first player then Hakeem was IMO, you can see it from a mile away. What Hakeem did out there passing wise was just text book stuff, but his offense was a work of art and he made text books with what he did out there.

    Yao = Great player
    Dream = Greatest center IMO

    yeah, hakeem was a good passer later in his career, but ming is probably better as far as cat remembers.

    ok, guys, since we are talking about hakeem, could you imagine what kinda DYNASTY the rockets could've had if dream had a pg like stevie franchise grow and develope with him???

    it would've been sick! as it stands now, poor dream practically did it all alone. if he had had some help, there could have been more than 2 banners hangin'!

    I loved the Dream years, and respect the man. But, a passer? That was always his last option and least well accomplished. Karl's Seattle teams took advantage of that for years. And years.

    Yao is not yet the player Hakeem was for nearly a decade and a half, but he's looking pretty good. Pretty good indeed!

    Dream never heard of the bounce pass - an art that is lost on today's players. Bounce passes are much easier to catch.

    Dream's passes were to the 3point shooter, never a cutter.

    Dream was much more athletic but nowhere near the touch Yao has.

    Before it seemed many people didn't realize that a center with passing ability contributes so much to the fluidity of team play...It seems to be a trait that is often overlooked, but I think there is more realization of this importance since it seems we are hearing more about it than in years past...It's good to have one!

    Hakeem was a good passer...and probably would have been remembered as an even better passer if he would have had more slashers on his team through the years...the rockets just didn't do that back then like they do now. But Yao is just amazing at moving the ball...recognizing the double-team and hitting cutters and perimeter guys.

    go rockets!!!

    Yao is a much better passer then Dream.

    The best post passer the Rockets have had was Barkley, and Yao is already better then him.

    Yao is the best Post passer I have ever seen on the Rockets.

    He has the "SAVVY" that I have been looking for.

    GO YAO...GO ROCKS !!!
