See you know what i am talking about, its like a conflict of interests when they play together. When they get the ball, they both put a lot of weight on their shoulders. Which is why i think if they could find chemistry, it would be relieving for them if either one is having an off night to pass the ball off.
EDIT: Meh. Why should I respond to a poorly thought out post that attacks my age and not my argument?
What does that have to do with anything? .3 points per shot is a big difference and your statement about Martin being a chucker while Lee being a more efficient option is just untrue. A more well rounded player sure, but Lee will never approach Martin on the offensive side of the ball. Especially if you are gonna bring up efficiency.
This guy is over analyzed so much it's not even funny. When chase has a bad game ( and he's had plenty ) he doesn't get anywhere near this kind of hate and criticism. He's played minutes in just a handful of games and from that alone everyone says he's ****. Fact is, he's shooting 42% from the 3 point line and even if he has a bad game shooting he's still 10x a better playmaker and defender than bud. Give this guy a solid chance coming off the bench and lets officially see what he can do with some minutes. I also wonder how many people actually watch the games. Sure he makes bad decisions at times and he doesn't move without the ball well but he's not horrible out there, in fact I would argue in his limited minutes he's been okay. Not good or great, but okay, and for now that should get him minutes because I for one am tired of Chase getting these backup 3 minutes. If his shot his off he does absolutely nothing. For our team I'll take terrence's ability to make a play and his turnovers over chase and his style of play any day
No one expects Chase to be the next Michael Jordan....but with T-Will, there's a superstar standard lol. People are desperate for some improvement to this team. If they have to look at Player #15 off the bench for that glimmer of hope, they'll do so. And the same expectations and hype that pushes T-Will to the front of every GARM thread tears him down...
If he wants to be on the floor, he needs to do two things: 1. Play GOOD defense. 2. Play GOOD defense. and don't mess up on offense. For a bench guy, you have to be able to do at least one thing very good. It is usually shooting or defense. Williams is not a scoring threat. He is not a lock down defender (at least has not shown it yet). And he is not good enough to deserve starter minutes. That's why there is really not much reason for coaches to play him. Put yourself into the shoes of the coach and ask yourself: Why should I put TWill in? ... I need a defensive stop. Williams? Nah, I call Lee's number. ... I need some offensive punch. Williams? Nah, I put Budinger in and hope he heats up. ... I need a faster pace. Williams? Nah, I want Dragic. ... I need a sure hand half court play maker. Williams? Nah, I keep Lowry in there.
exactly right, he is more of a jack of all trades but not good enough at either. He has an absolute advantage over most of the bench players but definetly not a comparative one. His best bet would be to be on a floundering team and let him develop by giving him big minutes to see if he can develop a solid jumper ala tmac in orlando
http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2012/03/from-practicing-really-well-to-not-at-all-terrence-williams-could-be-back-out-of-rotation-too/ T-Will missed practice yesterday. Back to the doghouse for Squid.
The same day he insults his critics for being overweight people who work from home, he sleeps in and doesn’t even show up for work. Loser.
T-Hype belongs in Charlotte. Or Detroit. Or Sacramento. Or Washington. I'd say Washington. He'll fit right in.
Can we play Morris and Williams, i love watching these guys even when we lose, atleast see if they got anything, have to give them minutes to get comfortable to see what they can do, perhaps they could develop into something special. Team as currently constructed is boring to watch and root for due to mediocrity. Make the playoffs and a first round bust, no exciting players to root for or up and comers... sigh, i bet even cleveland supporters are having more fun than us.
I am his biggest fan, and if I was gay, would be gay with him...however this guy just made it really hard to support him if he missed practice intentionally.
