Kaman still available, price has dropped apparently

I am huge Hayes lover but the one thing Sammy does consistently is change shots at the rim and teams dont get to have layup drills and dunk fests like they used to.

Chuck being all that he was just couldn't prevent these things being 6'6. I still want him on the team and I would love to have him start instead of Scola. But we also needed a 7 footer that could protect the paint. We would be different looking team if SammyD was more consistent. Even if its just 20-25 MPG.

 

Chuck knocked away 3 times as many shots before the shooter could get the shot up as Dally blocks. It would be nice to have a 7-footer to go along with Chuck and Scola. But what happened was we lost Chuck and we picked up Dally. That was a D-O-W-N-G-R-A-D-E.

 

It's not the same case cause back then they were giving up CP3, now just Kaman and Gordon. They get to keep Aminu and the picks.

For Gordon and kaman I would trade scola and Martin, even throw in 1st rounder if had to...we could either re-sign them after the season or have enough for 2 max players once u count our expiring contracts! I am a Martin fan but Gordon is younger and I think has more star power

 

I don't think so. He has his head on straight. He just had an injury last season and fell out of favor. Also, he is still only 20 years old.

 

Kaman is a last resort move. As long as bigger pieces are out there, it's best to wait. If they do cash in their chips for Kaman. In addition to Kaman, the Rockets should look at adding Ilyasova and Dunleavy too.

Ilyasova, putting up monster numbers from the bench, and part of the Buck's Heat killer formula. Has said he's leaving for Europe unless they show him the money.

Dunleavy, the type of player the Rockets hoped Budinger would develop into.

 

I'd take a flier on Chris Kaman. Don't want to give up Patterson for him though. I would give them Jordan Hill and a draft pick at most.

 

We don't need too many role players,Dunleavy is better than Bud and is not too expensive,but we need expiring contracts and cap room. All these role players are going to demand a fair amount,and we can't afford to make mistakes by giving contracts to players who primarily play on one end of the court. Ilyasova is a player that I like though. I agree with you that Kaman should be a last resort.

 

I don't think kaman should be last resort...if making a push we clearly need better play out of center position cause we are getting outrebounded too much...if scola was dealt in the deal we would upgrade defense comsiderably with kaman and having Patterson as our 4...even if we just dealt expirings for kaman it would be a upgrade at center

 

The Rockets don't need cap space if Dwight and Deron are off the table. That's what I meant by last resort. Cap space won't matter when that happens.

They won't be. Ilyasova and Kaman are expiring contracts. While Dunleavy is 3.7M for only one more season. That's a bargain contract. His ability to run the pick and pop with Foster would be gold for the Rockets if he can do the same with Patterson.

We sure could have used Kaman's 20 and X. Henry's 19 points last night.

 

But what is the opposing teams fg % with or without Sam on the floor? I gotta believe with Sam on the bench and no post defence the opposing team has a much higher fg% = less rebounds to be had... With Sam in, he can contest the shot and Scola picks up the rebound...

 

I would do this in a second. It makes complete sense.
