Codes were P1289 and P0353 on a 2007 Ford Fusion

    and I found this:

What was actually stolen and based on the damage am I going to be able to fix it? This is the second major vandalism to this car in over a week, so I am about to give up on owning this car.

And is this a common theft? It seems so random.

I have no idea what was actually taken, something was cut out between the second and third sensor. All I know is that it runs like **** now.

Those are not sensors. They're ignition coil packs so your car is running two cylinders short. Let me see what I can find out for you.

looks like nothing was taken unless they ripped what im assuming is a temperature sensor out that has some sort of valuable metal in it. (which i doubt)

other than that the ignition coil on the far right has cut wires... thats why your engine isnt running right thats a dead cylinder right now.

also next time post more about your car... engine size etc.

im assuming this is what your car should look like

Yeah looks like just cut wires on coil wires and temp sensor. Unplug your battery and if you have any kind of wiring skill you car reconnect the wires that were cut. That temp sensor tough looks like it's a gonner.

I must have a serious enemy on my block. Blurr#7 thanks for the advice. It was a 2.4 L engine. If nothing was taken, it should be an easier repair.

So I'd probably have to spend $120 to $180 with parts and labor?

yea - you have rodent problems. Rat? (most likely) Mice? (less likely but possible). Squirrel? (could be but doubt it).

no one broke in your car. you have rodent problems. find a junkyard to replace to chewed up wires. what your gonna have to do is find a vehicle just like yours and cut the wires like 4 inches from the connectors. youre gonna have to obviously wire the connectors back up yourself but it's fairly simple.
