Back in college while I stayed in a dorm, my roommate and I thought it would be funny to go out in the hallway and yell "HELP!!!" over and over. Just to see what would happen.

They even have videos of an experiment they did with a guy lying in the street seemingly unconscious (or dead). Nobody helped until one person stopped to check the guy and then that's when people started to show some concern.

Also I read a similar story of a woman back who got stabbed in front of an apartment complex repeatedly (The attacker left for like 30 minutes and then came back to stab and kill her) and in that period of time nobody even tried to walk outside of safety of their rooms to help.
