Nike has a new shoe coming out from the "Nike Shox" brand which features Allan Houston and Yao Ming. The Chinese flag is on the tounge of the sneaker. They didn't look bad. I wonder how much he is getting paid for that.

Huh? Why should he stop posting about this?

http://sports.sina.com.cn/nike/star/yao_ming/ is Nike's branded news site for Yao Ming. It shows his shoe; I assume this is the same as one described here

The shoe with the Chinese flag is a different shoe, isn't it? I know I've seen it on the page for the national team.

He really shouldn't...nobody should stop posting. But those shoes aren't Nike Shox, are they? They look like regular Nike Air, not the ones with springs in the back...

Either way, this is a good deal for Yao.

Whoops, sorry for the confusion. The previous pic was of the Chinese national team shoe, which has the flag.

This is Yao's shoe (shows Yao 11 on the tongue). Again, don't know enough about these things to know if this is the one being mentioned above.

I noticed that exact shoe on Yao's foot. Today's Chronical had a game pic of Yao and Francis on the court, and you can clearly see "Yao" and "11".

They're not really HIS shoes..they're just shoes that have been customized for Yao. Yao still does not have a signature shoe like T-mac/Jordan do.

damn, when will they start selling those shoes on market, although, people tends to buy guard's shoes, but I think Yao's shoes will be just as sepical as Yao and a lot of people will buying it.

Yao's new shoe is on the kicks pages of the latest issue of "SLAM". And this is the last year of Nike's sponsorship contract with him, so actually he has a lot of choices. Personally, I think he will end up with adidas, because adidas used to be his team-Shanghai Sharks' sponsor. Maybe you guys in the States can't believe, Yao was wearing TMAC 1 (White) for the whole 01-02 CBA season, because that shoe has no apparent adidas logo from a distance, especially on TV. Nike has the right to post his personal picture in Shanghai kicks stores, but he has to suit with China National Team's uniform. As a kick fan, I wish Yao stays with Nike, but who knows, maybe adidas can give Yao a bigger contract, just feel that way.
