Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr. started this back in 09 and now everyone is doing the hipster trend. Especially black guys

I was just thinking this myself. I know the look has been around a while now, but all star weekend presents a unique opportunity to see all of the players together and dressed in street clothes. It just accentuates the silliness of it.

    "Blipsters"

The look has been in the past 7-10 years with the hipster collective.

Its when the "minority effect" is apparent when its worth mentioning?

    Welcome to 2009 Greatgrandpa!

Its actually one of the most annoying fads I've seen and it appears the majority of people wearing them lately are black  And a lot of NBA players.

I bet most have 20/20 eyesight but hey, the glasses look cool so...

I have 2 opinions on that.

One is that ** newsflash ** people do trends and follow them. Many which go without comment. (Women's livelihood is 80% doing goofy stuff). Women have been doing the "horn rimmed " glasses look for quite a while, when Tina Fey got popular. Guys do anything outside of basic t-shirt and jeans and they get "called out" on it.

The other is: I DEFINITELY will say that myself a glasses wearer, yes it IS ANNOYING seeing people with GOOD vision wear them as a pure fashion statement. (I HAVE to have full frames to hide the "coke bottle" lens look.)

Cleverly disguised "I'm too cool to do what is perceived as cool" thread.

An unintended hipster thread hating on hipster fashion? Very meta of you OP. #mindblown

It's not really hipster fashion anymore, it crossed into the mainstream. And no, you don't have to like how it looks.
