Saw this today, solid movie with great action, and acted by active duty Navy Seals.

I give it 7 out of 10, the action and story was griping the acting was a bit flat (they are not actors after all).

But you leave the theater knowing that stuff goes on that we are not aware of that help keep our country safe, and that we are protected by heroes we will probably never meet.

Overall, I liked it a lot.

Am I right that it's not actually acted by Navy Seals but that there are SOME scenes that are Navy Seal tapes? I heard that the vast majority of the film is actually scripted with regular actors.

As far as I know they are active duty SEALs..and from the trailers I've seen it shows (in the acting).

I'm kind of on the fence about this...the action may be really good and authentic...but can it save what is widely seen as mediocre acting and a predictable story.

According to Marcus Luttrell, the guys in the movie are current and former SEAL team operators.

This the reason why their last names are not included in the credits.

I didn't really want to see this, but I had a friend talk me into it. The action is mind blowing. It more than makes up for the acting. (which wasn't that terrible for non actors.)

I read that these were real training exercises with real ammo. Mind blowing!

I wanted to join the Navy SEALs until the very end. Then I realized that I would be better suited as a Finance Major

Did anyone notice that the guy in the wheelchair in the end did not look like Chief? I guess the uniform might have thrown me off but me and my friend swear it wasn't the same guy.

I don't usually wax CowboyBebop, but this flick looks like the most contrived piece of crap since the Pearl Harbor movie. Big military propaganda piece/enlistment ad.
